if you cheat in private - i don't really give a crap. if you cheat in a public game... you're being rude and inconsiderate to three other people who want to enjoy the game. If you're just in it for pretend money to get pretend items..... why are you wasting your time playing it?
Before platinum difficulty came along it was nigh on impossible to go into a public gold game without seeing someone off host packing an obvious glitch weapon and no consumbable gear.
I don't play platinum with randoms, so I never see them any more, but I don't need much imagination to appreciate how bad it has been.
Not that I'm trying to defend glitchers in any way, but this hardly seems like a fair comparison as cheating a computer game is hardly running a risk of seriously injuring or even killing somebody.Volkai7 wrote...
And people only speed because speed limits are too low, right?
Doesn't make it okay to go 40 in a 25.
Given the the previous point about glitching in public as opposed to private matches, I think a more appropriate analogy would have to do with what happens between two consenting adults in the privacy of their bedroom is all well and good, but not necessarily appropriate behaviour whilst they're in the middle of the street!
I have to admit I did wonder about that person as they went rocketing past me on the leaderboards during a time that I was playing for several hours every day.k1ngl1ves wrote...
Why is the N7 #1 in the world still there(XBOX)? I personally sent an email with pics about him. I am starting to wonder if these ban waves are really just bullsh*t. I'm sure there were others that turned him in. No one climbs rank as fast as he did.
One of my regular team mates also happened to notice and mentioned it to me one time and relayed a rumour he'd heard that, even when a person gets banned, their gamertag isn't removed from the leaderboards. However, this comment...
...seems to be at odds with that claim.Ernest Tse wrote...
We wish to keep Mass Effect 3’s ... leaderboards legitimate.
I would very much appreciate it if Ernest (or another moderator) could confirm or deny this rumour and, in the case of a confirmation, perhaps make some comment upon the logic behind people being banned for cheating not also being removed from "legitimate" leaderboards.
