What's funny about that? Quarter is mercy. So show no mercy, basically.

"Give them no quarter", yes.

"Give them no quartet" means to take the oboist, the cellist and the two guys with expensive fiddles and send them packing.  Or if your quartet is of the barbershop variety, the four guys with the bad striped jackets, straw hats and ridiculous moustaches.

I lol'd. too.

I welcome the banhammer, but wouldn't it make more sense to prevent the glitch than to slap players who are exploiting a game mechanic? I ask this because 30-second pizza delivery is not labeled a cheat but missile glitching is.

Unless you read the forums, are players going to know the difference? This may simply be a case of my not understanding the missile glitch, and what's involved in triggering it, since I only play on PC. I know I can deliver your pizza in 30-seconds or less by spamming the snot out of the space bar.

Also, what does being in Mexico have to do with being untouchable as far as cheating goes?

Why is the top missile glitcher able to cheat with impunity, making a mockery of Bioware's anti-cheating tough talk?

I was hoping they'd fix the blasted missile glitch. I reported the people doing in the same game yesterday, and platinum lobbies on xbox seem to all have at least one person with a striker and chargable weapon equipped.

So much for untouchable. Shadow's new profile is MIA and appears to be banned.

Their means of 'fixing' the missile glitch seems to be by changing how chargeable guns work. <_<

On the one hand, yay for the Acolyte. On the other hand, perhaps not the best solution, but the easiest one they can manage?

Good. The idea of someone cheating on that scale, and so openly is aggravating.

Most (or all?) of the mechanics required to activate the missile glitch involve using chargeable weapons. So changing how chargeable weapons work is the easiest solution. Good for me since I generally dislike the chargeable weapons.

Read the first post. Report cheaters by sending an email to ME3MPCheaters@BioWare.com and provide a bunch of information. Read the first post for details.

I love the GPS, but I would gladly trade it's charge-up to get rid of the damn Missile Glitch! I hope it doesn't come to that...

Well Done BW. and to those complaining that the store is a fault. there are players with maxed out manifest that do not cheat, will not play with cheaters, and have reported many of them in the past. the store is a lottery...how may times have you won ther lottery??? how many times have you "won" at the store???

Then they've spent the last 5 months doing nothing except playing mass effect 3 MP... Even if you had infinite credit, it'll take a whole day of just buying packs to actually maxout the manifest. No, mathematically impossible. The store is at fault and your argument is factually invalid. The fact that items come out at random, and the fact that the more rare items you have the less often they appear makes it so.

The only cheaters I'd consider reporting are those that ruin matches for the others. Just encontered my first missile glitch fest just now. I actually didn't notice it until the extraction round when the player behind me downed a geth prime in one pistol shot, which is when I took a moment to look at the right hand corner - "missile".

It's a silver match.

Then I remembered that I was shooting geth primes with my lvl1 widow and only taking down two/three bars of shield per shot - in a silver match -- with a widow!!!!!

I really don't blame the person for cheating taking that into consideration. Except that player also ruined my game while he/she was at it. Having to quitting during the extraction round was stupid.

Fix that damn glitch Bioware, ALONG WITH THE GAME!

What makes you think you need a maxed manifest to enjoy the game? Cheaters get for free, what you earned honestly in all those hours. Does that seem fair to you? The store is what it is - either you live with it or not. But there'd always be cheaters, no matter how the store is built, blaming the store for all the cheaters is just silly.

I feel you are ballooning that first part a bit. There is no doubt that the store contributes to glitching it allows players to get guarenteed credits and do it at a fast pace. However with that being said glitching in online multiplayer games has been an epicemic across a wide variety of games many of which do not have a store credits system like mass effect.

People glitch in every multiplayer game you can think of. From games like mass effect to call of duty and as far as sports games. You can easily google this stuff for any game and find an ongoing back and forth with the battle against cheaters in games that do not have a store like mass effect.

The reason this looks as bad as is does contibutes to a few things... Just a random list...

- Mass Effect multiplayer was not meant to be as popular as it was hence it was not worked on to the extend of other modern games in this aspect. As seen with vague records and slow maintainance at first it allowed glitchers more places to hide. This is a mirror image of early online gaming. For example I played NHL 04 on the PS2 a lot online and this exact thing happened with numerous glitchers dominating the leaderboards because online gaming was still primative. However just like mass effect did they added an online webpage where people could view other players stats and past games and it revealed a huge amount of glitchers and free win glitchers leading to a massive banning period which took out over 50% of the top ranked players.

- Like mentioned this was not supposed to be this popular. So it was not as cleanly made as other games and it's obvious Bioware has not had the resources or experience to fix the glitches as fast as other games built on multiplayer gaming have been able to do. Every time they have tried to patch it has failed. They are just getting there feet wet and with time will become better with cracking down on glitches and fixing them. The N7HQ was a big step forward.

- Mass Effect is also coop online. So the report rates are lower. If someone glitches some people may just sit back and take the credits. Unlike a game like COD or BF3 where if a player glitches the entire enemy is human so they all end up reporting that guy and he gets caught very fast (rarely will his teammates spam the reports on him).

All of the games I have played online multiplayer recent history...

- Mass Effect
- COD
- Battlefield 3
- EA NHL Series
- EA Madden Series
- Borderlands 2
- Dead Island
- Gears of War 3
- Halo games

I have seen people glitch cheating on every single game. Many people will cheat for reasons far beyond the concept of the store. It may be for attention, it may be because they like winning so much they don't care how they do it, some people are addicted to ranking up, some just troll. Hence why games with team damage have epidemics with "team killers"

As long as the glitch is there people will use it even if they changed the store to something more player friendly.

Sorry that was much longer then I wanted it to be

Yet it doesn't excuse the poor game mechanic. Yes there will always be cheaters, and I don't condone trolling matches by missile launcher kill everything in sight. At all. I don't blame the store for cheaters -- the cheaters do. And since bioware can't fix the glitch, then fix the store, or other aspects of the game they CAN fix. Like how the second most powerful sniper can only down two bars of shield on the geth prime -- in a silver game.

It's quite long, and I'm sorry if my short answer won't do you justice, but since I agree, there's not much to be said really. I don't agree with glitching, mostly because the noobish/trollish reasons behind doing it. But my original point to the reply of "pigdog3459 is MINE" is that this person is gloating about something that is practically impossible to do, and using that as justification for his point... whatever it might have been. I really didn't have much to say on this at first. So forgive my short reply if you will.;)

How do you propose to "fix" the missile glitch by changing something in the store? Those are two entirely different things. Should it give stuff for free? Because, as long as you have to have credits to buy stuff, people will try to get those credits "the easy way". Just beacuse someone got the Harrier he wanted won't stop him from glitching to get everything else. And most won't even stop although they already have a maxed manifest as is apparent when you looked at the N7HQ pages of many top players in the leaderboard before the last ban wave.

Regarding the Prime - so, your point is if you can't instantly kill it, glitch it? I usually deal decent damage with my sniper rifles on Gold.
