I always felt like blood mages were the Vampires of Thedas. All Bioware has to do is make them act like vampires.

I think Reavers are more of vampires than Blood mages. They literally have a move called devour.

No vamps or weres or zombies or any of that crap. Shapeshifting is already in the game. Can't that be enough?

They are already in it. Arcane Horrors are zombies, Witherfangs werewolves were werewolves, and Reavers drain peoples life for sustenance making them vampires of a sort.

Why the vampire hate? I think the writers should consider introducing vampires to DA3 as a challenge

Also, how come Twilight is mentioned so much when people talk about vampires? Twilight is Twilight. What does that have to do with DA3?

As much as I love vampires I hope they continue with the concept of monsters unique to their world and not start importing monsters. Dragons are one thing, but I am not certain I care for vampires and such to be wandering around.

Werewolves aren't unique to DA either

If Vampires were done as well as werewolves were in DAO, I think most will be pleasently surprised

Fun fact: if you play DA2 on the PC and use the console to skip to Act II, when it's asking you what decisions you made in the Deep Roads, it refers to the hunger demon you encounter down there as a vampire.

...in all seriousness, i think vampires have been slightly overdone. Even inFamous has vampires!
take supernatural's vampire, make it have withered skin, and maybe. maybe.

The game already has warewolves, they already have zombies, skeletons, shadow warriors and so forth, so forth o.O if you believe none of that will be in DA3 you really are nutty!

Vampires are just so tacky now, thanks in large part to Twilight. It did NOT help that Anders pulled an 'Edward Cullen' on us in DA2.

I'd MUCH rather have griffons make a come back, or something new, like Centuars or Kelpies.

Because the problem is is that because of Meyer and the... *Gag* 'success' of Twilight, most people associate Vampires WITH Twilight these days. Just the word vampires makes me eyeroll nowadays, I have to sit in a dark corner clinging to Dracula to feel better.

Vampires do this funny thing where as soon as you introduce them into your lore they take over. It's like impossible to NOT use them in some pivotal role if you have them. Their allure is too powerful.

That being said I'm not totally opposed either. I'm on the fence. Also I'm disappointed that everyone now suddenly associates vampires with Twilight since that was exactly ONE woman's idea of what vampires should be like. Glittery and overpowered.

No oh god no. I know if they do they will do the twilight type vampires and by that I mean the sexy vampire. Dawnguard did vampires right but still don't add vampires they are done so much they are pretty much ruined. Add orcs or something

Most "works" excluding Twilight, have vampires as very alluring individuals, it's how they "hunt" using sexual attraction to ensnare victims
