I usually play a warrior, and I remember getting 3 attribute points.
Butt today I'm playing as a mage and I'm getting 5 atrribute points to spend; and I seem to be leveling up a lot faster.Is it suppose to be like this for mages?
Am I suppose to be getting 5 attribute points each time I level up?

No, it's not. Though I wouldn't mind a playthrough like this just for the fun of it.

Did you use one of the promo items? There was a book that gave you 2 attribute points extra. Maybe you read it without really noticing. Or it's just a bug.
