Damn; first lulzy derailed thread in a long time and I miss all the fun.

Why must this happen?

I loved all of the game up to and including Harbinger Beam.

The long interactive cutscene after Harbinger Beam, didn't live up to the rest of the game in my opinion. Would've liked to have seen EMS have a bigger influence on the game if nothing else. I know 'choose-your-own adventure' can only have so many endings available though.

Then again, perhaps if the ending simply had more foreshadowing, if Geth-Quarian peace had proven impossible in the game, maybe the ending would have felt better. As it was, The Catalyst had some severely faulty logic, and there wasn't anything that could be done about it.

It's a good game, it just doesn't hold a candle to it's predecessors.

i really felt let down by mass effect 3 as a whole. i could list all the reasons but i honestly get tired of typing that much and i would rather not think about it. and although i can understand people liking the game people not disliking anything in the game just baffles me. however i guess it all comes down to what you really liked about the previous titles. the things that i liked were pretty much all stripped from the game down to a bare minimum. but that does not make people who like the games stupid or drones. it just means they have a personal preference. i must admit at the time mass effect 2 was out and until dragon age 2 was released i thought i would be a total bioware fanboy. i was completely blown away by every game i played from them.

however as i saw the things i loved disappear from the games little by little that opinion changed very quickly. it does not mean i will never by a bioware game again (even though the amount of lies bioware told during the marketing phase were way out of line and insulted me more than the quality of a game ever could) i will however be very cautious about my purchases and will likely buy used from now on until i feel that like bioware has gone back the things that made me love the games they made in the first place. so for the people that love mass effect 3 and bioware more power to you. but i dont and it does not make me a hater.

also i would like to add as it has come pretty much necessary to state this, although the endings were not great its pretty hard to factor them into me not liking the game. the game could have ended with shepard jumping off the top of a cliff and then credits rolling with benny hill music as they roll "bloopers" of the different characters and in game actions and i still would have liked the game if all the things that made me love mass effect 1 and mass effect 2 were present.

I wish I had the delusions and rose-tinted braincells of the 'non-haters.'

As it is, I despised ME3 so much I only played through it once and haven't touched it since. I can't even play ME1 and 2 because I know it leads to that piece of sh!t Bioware sold us. So much hate. So much.

Yes there are plenty of us. I loved ME2 and ME3 (PS3), and although I think ME2 was better, I actually enjoyed all the moments in ME3 that the haters, hated! I.e. the star child, the dreams, the choices, the endings, etc. etc.

My post will now be trolled to death, as I dare to have an opinion.

I freely admit that I'm in a minority. If you believe the polls (and I've looked at plenty of them) the "non-haters" account for around 40% of players.  I therefore also must admit that as a full game, BW failed to create a game that the majority of thier fan base enjoyed.

I still think it was epic, and I've moved on to MP which is fantastic.

I rarely post in this forum these days, due to the vast amount of negativity and trolling. Still!

Sure, I love many, many, many things about Mass Effect. I just recognize the validity of much of the enormous amount of quality, detailed, elaborate fan feedback regarding the ending of Mass Effect and why sooo many people hated it.

ME3 had flaws (so did 2... many), but I felt very satisfied with the experience overall. I definitely don't hate. I love ME more than any other game series so more of it was good.

Not to mention the multiplayer mode is simply fantastic. I initially cringed at the thought of ME having multiplayer, but I play it so damn much now.

People hated the ending(myself included) which meant that they are less lightly to look over small things like glitches and stuff. If the endings didn't come out of no where then it would be easier to defend glitches.

Hate? Hm... with some months distance, I'd say it's not hate I feel.

BioWare had all ingredients to create a modern scifie classic, but they dropped the ball... end of story.

I love everything about this Trilogy.  My husband is sick to death of me playing through the 3 games as many times as I have but I always manage to find something new each play through. Watching the differences on Youtube is not the same as actually playing through yourself. The Bioware team has put a lot of time and effort into this wonderful world and I truely appreciate all their hard work. Some gamers may rush through it and miss out on the little changes here and there but that is their loss. I believe it also brings out their hatred  for claiming that the game was rushed or not enough thought was put into it. Those claims have no bearing in my book. I really have yet to play through and actually have Mordin live because it requires losing Wrex in ME1. Things like that are very intricate storytelling/gameplay and I applaud Bioware for delivering. I am very greatful to this fabulous company on delivering a powerful gaming experience. I can't wait to see what happens next in the ME universe!
