If there is a fix in the works you won't see it until the next patch or as a silent fix with a DLC. They rarely announce that kind of stuff.

I have been noticing my squadmates standing around doing nothing a lot lately in SP. They just seem to get stuck in the middle of the map and nothing can be done until they die and are revived. This was happening a lot with Kaidan in the Leviathan DLC.

as of right now the only way to fix ashley bug is skip markmen completely which is pretty sad.

The bug is pretty funny, it completely makes ashley's marksman unusable. Until they patch it just spec completely out of marksman for her, if she does try to use it auto she will get locked in a repeat animation.

Still not fixed. Super annoying and it's rather disappointing the bug is still alive, months later.

On Xbox and I still get it. She keeps making the activation sound repeatedly like she's got OCD and I never actually see it activated. It's a damn shame because I'd love to have one squadmate that I can actually picture being good with their guns without just giving them the Typhoon and making them break the game.

Sure needs an official patch and there won`t be one so soon if ever.

After buying Omega and Leviathan I reinstalled and started a new ME3 playthrough today.. and behold. My Ash does the exact same thing as the OP's. All this time with the issue and still no fix? Bioware you suck...

If this is issue is across all platforms than it shouldn't be hard to identify the common problem. BW I know you must know about it by now.

The problem seems most likely to be the extra reload feature they added to the ability and how it interacts with squadmates and their non-ammo. Marksman will actually occasionally work, and seems to be more consistent if you turn off squadmates' power usage and micromanage marksman a lot more carefully i.e. activate it sometime after ashley starts firing.

*Edit - this is merely conjecture. I only reinstalled the other day and haven't quite picked ash up again after her stint in hospital.

*Editit - Disregard this....it never works Great, an unusable character.

Just don't spec Marksman on Ashley. Her other abilities are largely more useful anyway.

bump, seriously this playthrough i wanted to concentrate on full military shperad, james and ash as most squadmates are dead and I can't do crap with ash thanks to that ;/

This needs a hit-fix asap

Marksman on Ashley is overrated in my opinion. You are better off with her Disruptor Ammo, Concussive Shot, and Inferno Grenades anyway, at least in my opinion.

Fair enough but I had this idea for this particular playthrough, that my Shepard is like judge dredd - soldier class with only adrenaline rush and all the ammo powers in the game, while my squad is only my support.

So I have no other squadmates an ammo power ;/

Hmm good to know. I barely used Ash in my first playthrough, but I plan to do the romance and use her a lot more with my renegade AdeptShep. Will remember to spec out of MM completely (was a cool power on her though...).

Brutal, just started up my Ash LI Shep and checked to see if any progress had been made. Kind of odd something so significant would be ignored, no?

Presumably this doesn't occur if a) You haven't specced it at all or she has it, but you've got your squaddies set to no autocast and you never tell her to use it?

Marksman was one of those things I ignored on Ash as I don't really think these kind of buff-over-time powers work well on squaddies anyway, but it would be nice to know if this wasn't something that could affect my existing build.

That's correct. I've found squadmates are... poor at selecting when and how to use their abilities anyway, so turning off autocast isn't a big deal, but it's unfortunate to have to disable game options as a bug workaround.

I'm getting this issue right here on PC. Haven't played for awhile, came back and had Ashley in my party, and was wondering why I was getting that noise of her trying to activate her power over and over. Here is hoping it will still get fixed.
