I'm aware this has been already discussed (and solved for some)
Here
But, no luck on my side.
I just bought the Ultimate Edition (Origins, Awakening, and all DLC) at Gametree Mac and I can't get those tricks working.

The concerned file seems to be this one:
Library/Preferences/ Dragon Age Origins Preferences/config

Mine, in its original state, reads as this:

[AppDefaults\\\\eReg.exe\\\\transgaming]
"Disable" = "Y"

Where, to turn the console on, it should, following the given example, read as such:
[AppDefaults\\daorigins.exe\\transgaming]
"cmdlineadd" = "-enabledeveloperconsole"

Is it because of this "daorigins.exe", used in the example, instead of my "eReg.exe"?
I already tried to replace it, doing these:

1)
[AppDefaults\\\\eReg.exe\\\\transgaming]
"Disable" = "Y"
"cmdlineadd" = "-enabledeveloperconsole"

2)
[AppDefaults\\\\eReg.exe\\\\transgaming]
"cmdlineadd" = "-enabledeveloperconsole"

3)
[AppDefaults\\\\ daorigins.exe\\\\transgaming]
"cmdlineadd" = "-enabledeveloperconsole"

None of those went through...

So, if anyone's got some idea on how to make it work with that Ultimate Edition...
I would appreciate...
or simply enjoy the game as it is, which is already a wonderful gift.
(As always, I only wanna see everything it's got to offer and need to increase some of my too feeble skills...)

Thanks.

Ignore the part with

[AppDefaults\\\\eReg.exe\\\\transgaming]
"Disable" = "Y"

Leave it in, just add an empty line or two under it, and then copy and paste

[AppDefaults\\\\daorigins.exe\\\\transgaming]
"cmdlineadd" = "-enabledeveloperconsole"

Make sure you have no typos with this one.

The problem might also be the keybind that is used to show the console ingame. Did you try to change it as per the instructions in my old post? Sometimes the Tilde key can be a pain to find.

First, my thanks.
I know about that "Tilde key which can be a pain to find"... since I have no idea where it's "clavier hiding".
So I tried to change that, unfortunately not with the "inn-game's control options, which don't care about debugging, but through that "KeyBindings.ini" file.
'hope I get lucky on both sides, as they both matter here, and together...
I'll let you know.
Now, as my thanks aren't affected by some eventual success or failure...

Merci!

I'm sorry to be the bringer of sad news here, StoneTheCrow, but... your trick works. And now because of you, I'll be a cheater again. Even if, the more I play that game, the more I truly doubt I ever should cheat on stats as it seems just perfect as it is.
Anyway, here are the changes:

1st file:
Library/Preferences/ Dragon Age Origins Preferences/config
(Bottom of page should exactly read as such:)

[AppDefaults\\\\eReg.exe\\\\transgaming]
"Disable" = "Y"

[AppDefaults\\\\daorigins.exe\\\\transgaming]
"cmdlineadd" = "-enabledeveloperconsole"

2nd file:
Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Settings/KeyBindings.ini
Find and replace:

OpenConsole_0=(UNASSIGNED)

with

OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_G

(G if you choose, as I did, the G keyboard button to launch the debugging typing case, which should show in white in the top/left corner of your screen)

*** Use the following mod to be able to see what you're typing.

And thank StoneTheCrow with me, whenever you feel like hitting... the G button... :wub:
