I seriously hope that is sarcasm PoetryAvenger...
And I didn't make the pic, it is from one of many studies done in social media groups, I just cut off the answer and whatnot.
The point of it is to expect people to actually look at the ENTIRE equation.
If you look at the equation, and follow the steps properly, you will have no problem answering this simple equation.
I've never been so insulted in my entire e-life!
Had I meant my comment to be viewed in jest, good sir, I would have capped it off with "/sarcasm".
SORRY! Didn't mean to offend. But...is it really THAT hard to read?

And that's why I stopped Math at Algebra II. When it became more english than math I was done.

What exactly do you think you are accomplishing with this?
1. Testing who is actually reading the things they are responding to.
2. Also, of those that read the posts, who understand them and respond with any kind of sense.
Those of #1 are okay, they can be corrected and won't cause issues.
Those of #2 are even better becuase they need no help in understanding anything
Those that don't fall in either...well...there's not much hope for them...

0 if you don't.

Because in coding "0" is a blank spot...and this system wouldn't recognize it unless I typed something else...so, "0" is now "Zero (0)"

3x + 2
-5x + 3
The answer, if you're subtracting the second, should be 8x - 1, but that wasn't among the multiple choices. The question said subtract because the first coefficient of the second equation was negative. When I told the recruiter it was worded wrong, she wasn't amused.

What numbers do X, Y, and Z equal?
I'm only in pre-Algebra so unless they teach this later you can't solve this problem without knowing what X,Y, and Z equal.

Haha. Thank you for this. I got my lulz earlier when me and two friends went into a gold match with only Volus, but this was just perfect.K1LL STREAK wrote...

Fair enough. This was the first poll I ever tried to make on these forums, didn't know that the fricken thing would erase the 0 answer thinking it was a binary gap...third try was the charm though!!
TIP: if making a poll and one of the answers is just a "0" make SURE to type something else with it.

It's a triple integral problem

This isn't a test of intelligence. It's a test of first grade maths.
Jebus.
And yet almost half of "educated" adults will still fail.
I understand what you are saying though...its rediculous how many people will get it wrong.

Your history isn't so exceptional to be lording over others here. This thread is a perfect example.
Edit: You just misspelled 'ridiculous.'
