I heard something about BW buffing Drells?

I'd like to know about this topic if it's true. I play Drell Vanguard and Drell Adept more than all other classes, and I use them on all difficulties (they both rock :D) but I've heard here and there that Drell were up for a boost. I heard about Cluster Grenades, but that's for a lot of classes. Is Bioware specifically addressing Drells, and if they are, what are they doing to boost them?

Drell is the most rewarding race to play IMO because doing it well is very skill-intensive. It takes a lot of practice but they play totally differently from anyone else, but unfortunately, most people think they suck and so do very little to ever try them.

Drell is a very rarely-used race, and I hope the balance patches come so that changes. So yeah, anyone have anything they know on that token?

All I can think of is that Reave will get a deserved buff so it is equal damage to the Asari Justicar's.

Giving them proper shield and health protection I think is a must. I never play the Drell myself, mostly because I can't play it well or stay alive on higher difficulties for very long.

As far as a buff goes, Asari level health and barriers would be nice, there is no reason why Drell have to be so squishy.
Powers wise, I'm sure other people know more.

Their speed gained from Fitness is great for defense, you have to be fast and on the ball.

Well that's good news, if true. I love Drell Adept and something like that is just a formality, but well-appreciated.

As for health-shields, they don't need Asari stats since they have such insane mobility, but IMO boost Clusters, since lift grenades are so OP in comparison.

I agree with this. The drells speed and damage reduction flips is what makes him different from all the other characters. If bioware is gonna buff them, I think more speed would be good to emphasize his hit and run nature

They said there was something that made it so they couldn't adjust Drell fitness values... but they changed that in the patch. I sounds like the Drell are going to get a health/shields buff... probably the same week the Infiltrator comes out.

How I said in another thread, Drell is good. But they need a buff in his main advantage, speed.
Today they are most squirsh and they aren't the most fast in the game.
They need 10% more speed in rank 1 fitness and more 10%/20% in fitness rank 6.

I'm not going to complain, but both drell are already really good. Anyone that says otherwise doesn't know what they are talking about.

I'd like to see them get bonus shield recharge speed... that way they get their shield gate back faster, but maintain their low shields. I kinda like them squishy... gives them character.

Yeah one of the bioware guys said that they weren't happy with where the Drells were at and would be addresed. That was in mid September so no idea if they still plan on any changes or not.

Well, I would like to see a speed buff. It's pretty unfair that the Fury/Shadow can be as fast as the Drell, without sacrificing almost anything. The Vorchas could be faster than the Drell, but at least it was linked to the Bloodlust mechanics.

Yes. Drell need to be the faster in the game to reforce hit an run technique.

Pull is amazing now. After Acolyte and buffs to the power itself, it is amazing.

I kill everything faster with cluster grenades and bullets?... How is it better when I can kill everything before pull's cooldown is even over.

And it's use is so limited. It does nothing to armor. Phantoms can block it. Worthless compared to everything else.

Pull is amazing now. After Acolyte and buffs to the power itself, it is amazing.

Pretty much this. Why bother going through all that trouble just to try and set up a BE when you could just toss a grenade or shoot it with an actual gun and get it over with. They should just replace pull with lash.

+1, The drell guard has a very weird skillset, it doesn't help that he has pull <_<

Drellguard is a bit of a beast if you skip pull alltogether and use a powerful shotgun like the raider/piranha/reegar.  High mobility, fast biotic charge, decent passive weapon damage + 25% from bio charge and cluster nade spam makes for a high damage dealing character if you play him right.

Slap on incendiary ammo and the shotgun heavy barrel for armor destruction and fire explosions.

He's too weak on platinum though as is the adept really, they are so squishy there that while they are possible to play for sure it just gets annoying.

I think the Drell dodge is great. Pull is sketchy, and really an issue if you need one specific weapon to get it to work well. The only reason I spec into pull is because the rank 6 passive evolution on the Drell is really pretty crappy.
     In my opinion if you were going to mess with the Drell Vanguard he should be made into the "wepaon vanguard" give him higher base weapon bonuses for the passive tree and a higher weapon synergy bonus with charge. The dude has an insane encumbrance rating, and higher weapon bonuses would really allow players to take advantage of that.
