Plothole in the Dark Ritual

So, is this a plothole, something that Bioware forgot to think about, or should we just assume that the battle means also the journey to Denerim? But if Morrigan means the night before slaying the archdemon, then it is a plothole.

I think you're right. That would be quite a big plothole.
Arl Eamon says it takes a few days to reach Denerim so the Darkspawn will arrive sooner.
So you and Morrigan should've done a quick ... right before the City Gates

Well, it takes a few days for the sperm to find the egg. Maybe.
Would Morrigan know this?

Pfft, timelines are for other games. Dragon Age shouts at Father Time "FU!!!" before drop kicking him down the stairs. Your character then proceeds to time travel depending on location and conversation.
lol. so true!

Honestly? Until rather late in development, Morrigan approached you in your tent when the army camped the night before reaching Denerim. The extra area was eventually cut and the event moved to Redcliffe Castle. I don't remember if this was done before VO was recorded or not, but it seems nobody really noticed the single line when she says "the night before" afterwards.
I bet everyone was too much in panic that short before the deadline to notice something like that... *giggles*
And well... maybe there magically appeared some griffons on the rooftop of the castle after the ritual to carry the wardens and party to Denerim in a few hours so they could start to fight their way through to the palace before the army arrived

They wouldn't need any oversized freakbirds for that... people travel at the speed of the plotAsante81 wrote...

The truth is we won't harp on you for every little plot glitch or pick the scabs of every wrong keyed/flagged VO we see; BUT....
...we will definietly pitch a fit, and our controllers through our TV screens, as well as lead a rabble of star metal sword wielding grey wardens, after leveling up to 22, perfecting our shield bash/pummel/assualt/overpower combo, becoming the bane of the darkspawn and crowning 2 kings, only to get the s#!t kicked out of us at the end by the swamp witch we initially distrusted but grew attached to once we observed her emerge as 'almost' human from her isolation induced social retardation.
There's worse things Bioware than just fussing over a few misplaced words.
Peace

Maybe the Darkspawn tainted spermies had to gather at the bottom then blight the egg at the right time?
You mean they needed the Archdemon near them to guide them to their destination?
