I'm a little confused about the difference between this forum (social.bioware.com/forum) and the other one (daforums.bioware.com).  In all the confusion in the last 24 hours, it is my understanding that the former website was shut down but then resurrected again last night due to all the problems this new site was experiencing.

So with that in mind, I presume it will eventually be shut down again once everything is ironed out over here, right?  If so, does that mean I'm going to lose my status as a loyal and long-time Bioware forum member?  Now, think of me what you will, but I feel proud to have "25 Jun 2003" cited as my "join date" as opposed to the current "11/2/2009."  And I like having all those registered Bioware games cited next to my name like it is on the old board.

Is that info going to transfer over eventually?  (Yes, I've linked my new EA account [used for this forum] to my old Bioware account.)

As far as DA goes, this is technically the official site, but in practice not until stuff's working again. For all other games, which haven't (yet) been transferred, forums.bioware.com is the official site. Eventually, you will lose just about everything tied to the old account (join date, post count, etc.), but I am assuming that, eventually, we will be able to register those games here as well (or they may be able to simply move the registrations).
