But he didn't die fighting....he hobbled into a death machine because a glow in the dark toddler told him to......

Stopped the Reapers, saved the universe, had plentiful heartwarming goodbyes.

Yeah. I'm satisfied.

Shepard is either the person who threw themselves in a magical beam to genetically rape everyone in the galaxy, an enigmatic Reaper god, or forever-trapped in a pile of purgatorial rubble...

Is this satisfying for you?

No fixing needed.     I agree completely.   That is exactly how I felt at the end of the game.   Definitely satisfied and happy!

Yeah, no. There is no enslaving. Shepard remains a loyal council Spectre through and through. It's just he's got a little more firepower to bring to the cause now.

Also those goodbyes took like ten minutes just in the Priority: Earth mission. Not to mention all the time spent wrapping things up throughout the entire game.

I feel sorry for the people who don't feel they got their sense of closure, but I'm not one of them.

Yes - I'm satisfied with the ending. Am I completely satisfied? No. Of course I want more Shepherd, which does not appear to be the case as it's time for a new lead character or characters as the case may be. However, in my ending, Shepherd brought down the Reapers, united the universe, saved said universe and lived. In my case, to live with Miranda Lawson. What more closure would I need?

The best part of the ending though is that the Mass Effect universe doesn't end and we get to explore more adventures, stories and games set in this universe. That makes me very happy, indeed.
And you trust them to make further games without royally screwing you over after 100+ hours of playing?

Coz I don't.
Well, I do.      I don't feel royally screwed over at all after over countless hours of playing through and trust me, I'll be playing through again many more times I'm sure.     I'll purchase Mass Effect 4 (or whatever they call it ) once it comes out - provided it looks interesting.    I do trust EA/Bioware and I'm sorry that the way you feel about the ending makes it so that you don't.    I hope you can get over that so that you're able to enjoy the ME franchise once again.      I really do.    But, I know that trust is hard-earned and they may have to work hard to earn it once again, but I would really hope that you give it another chance sometime if you're willing to.    I, for one, think it's worthwhile to trust them and enjoy the future of the Mass Effect Universe.

He enslaved the Reapers in Control.

Goodbyes maybe (MAYBE) took 10 minutes total between all former squadmates....unless you were real slow at pressing buttons.

I didn't get a sense of closure because there was none...unless you made it up in your own head.

Guess I'm an anti-ender then, since I found that it was pretty perfect closure and my Shepherd saved the galaxy in a thought-provoking and intriguing ending.    However, don't let that fool you into thinking that I'm anti Ender's Game, since that is one of my favorite books ever.  :)    Honestly though, I do think dividing people into camps that either enjoy the ending or don't is pretty irrational.    I think that there is plenty of common ground between the two groups and lots of good discussion can be had between them.    But, that's just me and I know it's hard to take what I say seriously.

Indeed.  Leaves little room for the folks who thought it was thought-provoking AND flawed, like myself.

Binary opinions and irrational side-choosers are a freakin' headache, but, hey, it's the Internet.

1. F*ck Synthesis. It's idiotic.

2. Control is acceptable closure to the story. Shepard is dead but the galaxy is safe.

3. Refusal is also acceptable for me. I liked how it reintroduced Liara's message.

4. Destroy does NOT CONTAIN THE PROMISED CLOSURE. Lying in a pile of rubble and taking a breath before a cut to black is a BLATANT cliffhanger. How many times did Bioware representatives promise us the game wouldn't end on a cliffhanger. Unacceptable. My Shepard's story is not closed.

The original ending? No. The new endings? Yes.

The new control ending is exactly what I imagined when I first picked it in the OG endings. Shepard transcending humanity and using the Reapers to protect and watch over the galaxy for eternity. I like that. The people who still bash the new endings are the ones that wanted a perfect, happy-go-lucky, everyone holds hands and sings kumbaya, ending. I personally always knew that was never an option.

"You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
