I think if BioWare won't expand any further on the ending, we should make a compendium, similar to the Unofficial Ending Slides (remember those?), going in detail as to what happens after the ending to Mass Effect 3. We got glimpses of the aftermath in the Extended Cut, sure, but it would be cool to see precisely how much your choices had an impact.

How is Earth doing? What happens to Rannoch when both the Geth and Quarians are gone (if applicable)? If the Krogan are gone (if applicable), what becomes of Tuchanka? How did Thessia, Palaven, and Sur'Kesh recover from the war with the Reapers? What became of the remaining Batarians? What about the Volus and Elcor? What happened to the Vorcha?

I know that the Normandy rides off into the sunset at the very end, but what happened to all the characters, exactly? What did the crew of the Normandy do after the war with the Reapers? How did Joker take the death of EDI (if applicable), or how did your LI take the news of your death (if applicable)? What happened to the ME2 squaddies?

What happened to Shepard after the rubble breath (if applicable)? How did he get out of that mess? Was he found and extracted, then given proper medical attention? Did he claw his way out, then find help? If BioWare won't give a proper ending to Commander Shepard, then we must do it ourselves.

This is something that should be done. If BioWare won't talk about the aftermath (and their responses to the subject are not exactly reassuring), then we must do it ourselves. There are too many questions unanswered.
