Yes it is. If it was not our tool, we would not beable to make metal tools. The computer you're typing on was made with the knowlegde of fire.

Spears, bows, and arrows are all tools. Hammers are tools. Clubs are tool. Shoes are technically a tool. None of those things require fire.

All it saying it has no will of it's own and no control of it's nature.

It could have compared itself to a gun or bomb and the analogy would be accurate. It could have compared itself to the T-1000 and that would have been okay. What we have now is just retarded.

1.But my point is that catalyst and the reaper have no say on what they do, like how fire has no say to what it burns. The reapers and catalyst have no will of their own. Even there creators say the catalyst is still doing it's programming.
2. Not our most basic tool? Fire requires no cranck, pully, awel, or contaner to use. That makes it our most basic tool.
3. Name one age of Mankind that did not develop with the help of fire. Once you see what the awnser is you'll know fire is the center of all our tech.

your point? (geddit?) the sharpened stick came first and allowed mankind to utilise fire. firstly to help create it and secondly to cook on it, no stick, no fire, no computer. can we get back to the point now? (oooooh i did it again)

You can make a bow by bending a stick with fibers.

You can make arrows by grinding a rock to a point and attaching it to a stick. You can make a spear using the same principles.

You can make a hammer by attaching a large, blunt rock to a stick.

You can make a club by killing somebody and taking their femur.

You can f**king make shoes by drying animal hides and tying or wrapping them around your feet.

Literally none of these things require fire to be created or utilized. You'll notice that a damn lot of them utilize sticks.

you do? the zha were at war with the zha'til who were being controlled by the reapers, and therefore the catalyst, the galaxy at large were at war with the rachni, who were controlled by their queens, who allegedly may have possibly, been retconned to have been under the control of leviathan's, maybe.

The fact I'm also taking about advancement. You don't see that the sociaty with advance knowlegde to how to use fire is inheritly advance. That is tied together.

Who use stone tools still? The sociaties that barely advanced at all. The reason sociaties advance is because of their knowlegde of using fire.
Every sociaty that still was using stone tools in the broze age were taken down by the sociaties with broze tools that were within their reach. How they got those broze tools is because of fire. Every advancemeat as a sociaty we had is because of the help of fire.
If your using sociaties that used stone tools, you missing the point. My point was the key to use toward continued advancement.

But the people who they attecked had wills and egos. The people with the ego's and wills declared it a war well before understanding their enemy.

The Reapers' behaviour and speech suggests a great deal of being fully self-aware and under their own control. The Catalyst is possibly just a buggy VI that the Reapers follow for reasons of their own. There's no evidence that they are under its direct control at any rate; it seems more likely that they view it as something analgous to a god (and a bunch of religious nutjobs does seem to fit Reaper psyche well enough).
