Shepard:Wait you can mate with other asari?
*told to Liara after she talks about mating.*

No line is more cringe worthy or stupid then that, yes it's optional to say but it does not change the fact it's there and that Shepard can even think that. Any Shepard that said that should have been smacked by Liara and had a sticker on their forhead saying I'm dumb.

.

Ding ding ding

Ladies and gents, we have a winner!

Seriously, that is the single dumbest line uttered by any character in the entire trilogy. If a player chooses that line, in turns Shepard into a moron who can't figure out on his own that if the Asari couldn't mate with other Asari, their species would have went extinct.

The entire prologue: "This isn't about strategy or tactics" and "We fight or we die, that's the plan".......what?

That sequence had some of the most badly written dialogue I have ever seen.

Anything Kai Leng or the Star Kid said was usually pretty stupid.

"I fight for freedom. Mine and everyone's. I fight for the right to choose our own fate. And if I die, I'll die knowing that I did everything I could to stop you. And I'll die free."

Nice job breaking it, hero.

Not so much a cringe-worthy line, but the context. On Eden Prime, Shepard says, "They were gunned down while watching the game and having a drink" (or something similar), and the dead colonists are wearing armor and helmets! Who has a game-night party dressed up for combat?

To be fair, that one isn't really the fault of the writers. That line was probably written long before work was done on designing the game enviroment for Eden Prime.

The blame there lies with whoever designed the interior sections of Eden Prime, since they inserted armored characters into a section that should have had dead people either wearing civilian clothing or the Alliance utilities that Traynor, Joker and Shepard are seen wearing on the Normandy.

Any time Hackett opens his mouth and whines that we can't win conventionally.

Coz if you read the codex and witness the spectacular tactics Hackett employed before Earth fell, you realize why conventional victory is impossible with this idiot leading the charge.

"We have dismissed that claim." - spartus, mass effect 2.

And I just checked, according to ashley, their suit recorders were on during the virmire mission. The council saw both sovereign and vigil in recording form...and dismissed the claims anyway.

Oh politicians, will you ever do something that doesn't make me want to kill you.

Miracle of palavan is a shame, just putting it out there.

You want to talk stupid tactics? Try teaching the reapers how to FTL right past orbital defenses and go directly over home planets. Thank you turians, what would we do without you.

Oh yeah, have prepared after ME1 instead of getting stonewalled by your council and his finger quotes.

It's not a fast food joint. You can't program conversations like ordering a burger. There's a finite amount of possibilities.

Besides, Shepard is not going to have "no connection to Earth."

You know, you are completely wrong... adding extra choices is not that hard. Most of the time it will be a copy/paste thing. with them only chaning locations on the wheel. And nothing Shep picks at this point is even used later. and even if it was, the extra lines isn't that much work.

Gosh there are so many ....quirky... lines from all 3 where does one even begin?

Most of them HAVE been brought up here though. Oddly enough the prologue lines in ME3 didnt bother me all that much, sounded about standard for SHep honestly

"Without us to stop it, synthetics would destroy all organics."
Actually, every line spoken by the catalyst, Leviathan, and really anything having to do with the crucible, catalyst, etc.

Ok, so basically the entire main plot of ME3.

Anything Allers said, because of her bad delivery that can rival ME 1 & 2 Male Shep's.

Most of Liara's lines on Thessia.

Not a line exactly, but Jack's little freakout in ME2 when she's that the Normandy is a Cerberus ship makes me shake my head very hard.

Which brings me to her students. What age were they aiming for? Almost every line from Rodriguez and the other guy definitely made me cringe.

Can't think of anything else right now.

The average gamer is in their mid 30s now. The average game company manager still thinks that teens are the largest consumer of these games. Hence look at the ages of the characters: Liara is barely an adult, Tali is barely legal age, Samantha is about 26, Vega is 25.

Bottom line: they need to start making the age of the LIs a bit older. I felt like I was robbing the cradle.

Interesting post. But Kaidan and Miranda are admittedly older than the other LIs. Thane too.

Tali hardly lega? Tali's in her mid twenties.   If anything, Liara's robbing the craddle.  Her society says she hardly an adult. She's still 6 times older than Shepard.

Garrus says he had reach and she had flexibility. It makes perfect sense.

Nope. Not seeing it.

Believe me, I've played it out in my head hundreds of times.(Pants Optional) It makes no sense.

It appears Garrus isn't the one trying way too hard to be clever.

I'd like to think you're actually this oblivious. It's funnier that way.

That pic doesn't really fit. It's like you're slow-clapping at a Deicide concert.
