No line is more cringe worthy or stupid then that, yes it's optional to say but it does not change the fact it's there and that Shepard can even think that. Any Shepard that said that should have been smacked by Liara and had a sticker on their forhead saying I'm dumb.

Close second would be Shepard comparing first contact to the genophage. Third would be the whole conversation with Starbrat.

This exchange is the worst I've seen in a video game for a while.

Kai Leng's lame response is supposed to be intentional. Kai Leng doesn't have a response to that because it's completely true.

The worst one i know is in ME3 when Vega starts calling Shepard "Loco" and Shepard's response is:
"Loco huh? Sounds nice"
I don't know if he was supposed to have a sarcastic tone or anything but he really says that line in a dumb way.

Yeah a lot of people see it that way too. He is right that control is a possibility, but saying it like that "so TIM was right after all" sounds like shepard thinks it's a good idea.

The lines Shepard delivers at the beginning of ME3 to the defense committee. Like why are they asking Shepard in the first place? Here's what should have taken place.

Defense Committee: The reapers are here! The reapers are here! What do we do! What do we do! What are our tactics? What are our tactics? What is our strategy?

Shepard: (Paragon) You're asking me? now? What have you been doing for the past three years? If you'd listened to me three years ago you wouldn't be in the mess.

Shepard: (sarcastic) I don't know. Why don't we sing some songs or something?

Shepard: (Renegade) How the hell should I know? I'm just some ex-frigate commander who's been in lockup for past six months. I gave you the intel three years ago and you geniuses sat on your lazy asses for three <expletive deleted> years denying everything. I just saved your asses again and bought you six more <expletive deleted> months to prepare, and you locked me up and still did nothing. Screw you."

1. Hi, Liara. I'm Commander Shepard and I have an IQ of 85. You like dumb people, right?

2. The genophage remark I can excuse, and it's keeping in character with the "you can mate with another asari?" Have you seen the American education system? With 13 billion people to educate on earth, I can imagine that earth's is probably worse. I mean look at Vega. 'Nuff said.

3. The conversation with Starbrat was brilliant, though. Shepard was on her game, there.
