It's never said that the thermal clip technology was 'invented' or 'engineered' or 'discovered' after the attack on the Citadel. It's said the Alliance switched over. It's said the geth "adopted" the technology. There's no reason to believe that the technology didn't exist and wasn't in widespread use by various groups across the galaxy (such as the crew of the Hugo Gernsbeck) long before Shepard came along. In fact, in one of Zaeed's stories he explicitly mentions "ejecting a clip," which surely took place years before. And since Shepard's been a soldier for ten years, s/he easily could have come across the technology at some point and gotten familiar enough to recognize and use it on Lazarus Station. Conversely, there's no reason to believe every soldier across the galaxy switched over. After all, not every enemy drops thermal clips. There might well be entire armies that still use the old system or another system entirely.

In Liara's room you occasionally hear bits of news from the galaxy, one of these is about a colony that obliterated itself with nukes rather then be killed by the reapers. Why the f*ck did they not use them against the reapers???? They are obviously not worried about civilian casualties from the blast.

Because they wouldn't work and they would end up in the exact same situation, but with no nukes?

How do you know they wouldn't work? The Reapers' barriers wouldn't protect against against the thermal energy and radiation, and it's not beyond belief to think the Reapers' systems would be disrupted by the EMP.
The Reapers even go so far as to destroy nuclear missile silos on Earth, which implies that they are aware of any threat that a nuke would pose.

Most of Liara's lines on Thessia.
Not a line exactly, but Jack's little freakout in ME2 when she's that the Normandy is a Cerberus ship makes me shake my head very hard.
Which brings me to her students. What age were they aiming for? Almost every line from Rodriguez and the other guy definitely made me cringe.
Can't think of anything else right now.

This one always bothered me. Not because of the spoken lines, but because of the dialogue choices. You can pick between the person who died on Virmire, or the faceless masses on Earth.
What if your Shepard had lost the person he or she was romancing, or another close friend? What if your Shepard doesn't give a rats ass about Kaidan or Ashley?

The average gamer is in their mid 30s now. The average game company manager still thinks that teens are the largest consumer of these games. Hence look at the ages of the characters: Liara is barely an adult, Tali is barely legal age, Samantha is about 26, Vega is 25.
Bottom line: they need to start making the age of the LIs a bit older. I felt like I was robbing the cradle.

aye but tis a shoddy one. oh how about ""reapers" we have dismissed this claim" from the man who was damn near blasted by a reaper, who's government developed a weapon using that reaper's corpse, and who has numerous visual/audio recordings of the reaper, reaper tech, and a rogue spectre chatting about reapers. he is the dumb. /i'm bitter off not thinking about these things.
