After Thessia, Liara is grieving for the loss of her homeworld and Javik is being Javik and trying to rub as much salt into her wounds as possible. The tears are streaming down her face and Tali and Garrus can't figure out what to do about her but it's going to be okay because Commander Shepard, her bondmate, is here to comfort her!

She even has a paragon interrupt, which is guaranteed to be the most heart-warming thing you have ever witnessed after the one during Tali's loyalty mission in ME2...

*Cue poorly delivered motivational speech about how it's the asari government's own fault they're all dead now and how Liara should suck it up because they didn't listen to her or Shepard about the reapers*

I still cannot fathom why that moment didn't go one of these two alternate ways:

Romance: curl up on Liara's bed with her, embrace her as she buries her head in Shepard's chest and whisper to her that it will be okay.

Non-romance: sit on the edge of Liara's bed, hug her and tell her it'll be okay.

It's especially awkward if you talk to Tali again afterwards because Shepard's all, "I think she'll be fine now."

Ok I'm probably going to catch hell for this but:

" Creator Tali'Zorah, does this unit have a soul?"

"Yes, yes it does"

Specifically the second sentence

so you're saying it doesn't make sense that shepard is under lock and key, but it does make sense for them to put shepard under lock and key. oh god not schrodinger's cat again.
. No I'm saying there is a rationale for it.  The validity of said rationale is another matter
and in order to come to this irrational, and contradictory rationale one must use headcanon and tell the story one's self. again €90 well spent on a game which i loved for the story and (although i enjoy it) couldn't have cared less for the action. let the nerd man tears flow!
. Nailed it!;)    Wait......
  All she did was whine whine whine about it.  Grow a pair or get off the ship.  Javik, like it or not, was just stating facts.  That scene is just so bad no matter how you play it.  Do the interrupt and she gets over it instantly, don't do the interrupt and she becomes even more useless, just lying there crying, pathetic.<_<

Like Miranda whines, whines, whines about her sister? And cries about it, pathetically?

Or is Miranda's sister more important then the fall of an entire planet?

in that case you must also include every bit of dialogue pertaining to religions/souls/mysticism. which in me3 is about half the sidequests.

Uuuuuuuggghhhhh. That part is just painful. Wow...

Mass Effect in general has A LOT of cringe worthy lines. Too many to list them in here.

. Just as bad.  But she also does infiltrate a secret Cerberus death camp and shuts it down. Besides Miranda should have been a squadmate again, her story in ME3 was terrible ESPECIALLY her focus on her sister.

When Shepard is trying to "seduce" (can't think of a better word) Morinth, his dialogue comes off as so cheesy I can't stop laughing every time I hear it.

It's just as bad, and yet it's something you always rant about concerning Liara, but never Miranda?

. I "rant" about how we are forced to like Liara.  I "rant" about how she is so clearly favored over the other romances, especially the ME2 non dextro romances.

I remember someone saying a while back that Kaidan sounded like he'd been punted off a cliff. It was surprisingly apt.

i actually believe in equal rights for geth, robosexual marraige, and the right for geth to adopt unfortunate orphan organics. just don't go for that 'magic man did it' bull. but others do, including the geth, maybe (personally i don't think he was asking about an actual physical soul, but more asking if he was considered an individual, and an equal, by it's creator, using the question which caused the quarians to go genocide on his race)

so as far as dialogue goes, i like it. i mean it moved me to a throat clearence, which is the most physical emotion i've ever shown towards a video game. well until i shot him with like a gajillion renegade interrupts, then i dropped the controller and stared at my shaking hands asking, "what have i done?"

Then you should do so using the right reasons. Not because of traits that you criticize in one character but praise or ignore in other characters.

For the record, I thought both Miranda and Liara's scenes were perfectly fine. I don't think either of them were pathetic or whiny at all.

. I didn't bring up Miranda, you did.  I dislike the way Miranda is treated in ME3 as well.  But she isn't catatonic when her planet gets invaded

liara is so obviously favored, even her romance video is longer than the others.  Well that is if you got a video...........

. I'm not complaining about him asking if he has a soul, I'm complaining about Tali's response.  In my opinion he should have asked the question and then immediately died.  Leaving Shepard to decide for himself, and to ponder his actions.
