Just move on, Bioware just doesn't care about the fanbase. This isn't about their artistic integrity, they deliberately made the ending like it was so it would be as open as possible for future sequels. They sold out Shepard just to make making ME4 a little easier, as soon as I learned this I realized they would never really admit they f***ed up, they would never honestly fix it(EC was only done because of how much sh!t the fanbase was flipping), they would never listen to us, because they don't care anymore. I know it was mostly EA's doing, so as long as Bioware is owned by them, I'm never touching another game they make.
There was a theory about how Casey and Mac wanted to torch the series so EA couldn't do anything with it because they probably wanted to move on but it unfortunately bit them in the arse but what you said is also likely.

What fall back on Earth? Ending slides show clearly that the Citadel didn't fall on Earth. And tube or not, he is breathing in the last moment you see him = not dead, not matter how much you argue it. Corspes don't breathe. Everything else is your own headcanon you argue you don't do. He's shown alive in the last scene. The end.101ezylonhxeT wrote...
That was before the tube blew up in his face and he apparently survived a fall back to earth without a helmet and takes a breath that could either mean its a dying breath a breath of life but since bioware likes ambiguity we will never know for sure and i will forever be without an absolute conclusion because of stupid ****ing art.

And you think Bioware was all "you know what? There's that agonal respiration syndrome, we totally need to do that hihihi the fans will love it!". At what point you just decided "I will continue to pretend I don't know what their intention for the breateh scene was"?101ezylonhxeT wrote...

Why? If fans really want to think Shep's dead, why stop them?

I think they really didn't give that scene much thought at all, tergardless of how disturbing players found it.

You already have two endings in which he clearly sacrifices himself, the breath scene was added to give hope to the players, that we can agree was obvious...then they lost their balls to back that up....and we got speculation...
I was sure it was a survival scene until Priestly came in and wrote" Durh, I could be his last breath...you chose what to believe...I wanted to punch him in the gut...joking aside...all he did is install doubt in me...
Now I'm not sure he lived....or at least that bioware had at least an intention to have and optional survival ending.
This company has just gone blunder after blunder...they should just stop talking altogether.

It's not a matter of wanting to, it's a matter of how easy it is to believe.
You think I want to believe Bioware screwed up this badly? I don't. But looking at that scene, it practically screams "Shepard's dying" no "Shepard survived", regardless of what it's "meant" to convey.

And bingo was his name bro, see that's the problem...ambiguous is,well, ambiguous. And that's the problem. If they wanted that sequence to portray clear death, why put that sequence? Why the hesitation tp put the plaque on the memorial wall?
Hints to please those of us who want a surviving sheppard. But we want more, we want something less...ambiguous.Straight forward, he survived and the consequences of that.
Having that sequence to just show his last breath is actually insulting...it insults the main character...
So why put that scene...

It was only supposed to be a glimmer of hope. Glimmer - to shine faintly or unsteadily.

But I know it won't happen.
It especially wont happen with Thane, Legion, and Anderson there.

You're taking the narration too literally. She's just talking about herself in the third person and over-dramaticizing things, like all good dictatorial tyrants do.
Renegade Shepard lives in my perfect ending. Subjugating people here, exterminating them there. So uplifting!

You do realize you'd get pretty bored of doing that after a century or so right, especially with no one to actually fight (because who would fight the reapers).
Plus in another 900 years Liara will die and everyone you ever knew or loved is dead and you're stuck policing a thankless galaxy.

Bored of galactic domination? I don't believe it.
Besides, there's plenty more galaxys out there beyond the Milky Way.
Galactic Tyrant ---> Master of the universe.
Perfect.

Its very bad to judge a single game based on qn entire series. The logical thing is that you shouldn't judge ME3 based on ME like Halo 4 with the Halo series, Assassin's Creed 3 with the AC series, Resident Evil 6 with the RE series, and so on.Mr.House wrote...
So you enjoy paying$80+ to headcanon an ending to a story?
It sounds like the "fans" don't really care what ME is unless if they get what they want, which is a very bad idea.N7 Assass1n wrote...
There is no point. I have the same opinion as well, but they don't care. Any essence of pride they had making the series (Or any game they make/made for that matter) is gone. This is so blatantly evident in ME3, DA2 etc. Its now just time to watch them burn there own creation into the ground and further distance themselves away from the community that made them.
You must not be a RPG fan especially when looking at Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Final Fantasy, and KotOR to name a few.darthoptimus003 wrote...

No matter what was going to happen there was going to a small uproar because its the end of a trilogy. It sounds like you're expecting another Shepard game, which isn't going to happen.jakal66 wrote...
It's just sad they couldn't exapand on that in the EC...I was so naive to think they were going to.But I still have hope something will happen...as I stated before a fool's hope but what can I do...
