That's the energy wave from Destroy expanding outward, not an explosion. You know better.

Energy wave which caused explosion of Citadel... well we are going even further, destroy by words of god himself should damaged all technology for a time> so no oxygen, no atmoshphere, no mass effect fields, no energy for awhile...

Otherwise low EMS destroy would disagree, it´s clear that Crucible function could be even more dangerous than just some kind of big space flashlight...

He didn't actually say "all technology" would be disabled for a time.

And since the Normandy made a relatively controlled landing rather than crashing into the planet at lightspeed, we've always known that nothing of the kind happened. Not to mention that Hackett's ships work just fine in the epilogue.

As far as we know all technology was created on basics of Reaper technology - everyone was trying to advance with information passed thru previous civilizations or by the research of mass relays...

"Basis of Reaper technology" isn't a rational concept. A battery is a battery no matter who designed it.

I've been hearing stuff like that for months. It's not quite clear why people are always headcanoning this sort of thing even when they see it doesn't happen. Like that explosion pic -- anyone who looks at the scene knows it doesn't mean what the pic says it means.

Oh don't be so dramatic. Everything is fine. It's just the way it should be. Casey and Mac did a great job on this. I loved that ending. It moved me so. I just cried tears of joy that the reapers were finally dead, and that Shepard had taken that gasp. It was so... perfect. I've never seen a better ending in my life. 10/10.

but. objectively. the cat is alive OR dead. whether we can prove it or not. right?

That's the problem. There is no "objectively" without observation. No observation, no objective truth.

this is starting to sound suspiciously like "if a tree fell in the woods and no one was around to hear it. does it make a sound?" yes it does. but no one heard it.
i understand the implication, that without someone to hear it, it can't be proven, but sound exists as vibrations through the air, which undoubtedly occured when the tree fell. therefore sound. the cat is alive when it's brain functions. dead when it does not. our observation of the current state of the cat is irrelevant. it is, at any given time one OR the other. never both. perhaps my understanding of the experiment is off, what exactly do they do to the cat?

The Normandy landed relatively intact pre-EC too. If it really had been non-functional when approaching the planet it would either have burned up in the atmosphere or even destroyed the planet completely, depending on velocity. Not to mention the absurdly low chance of hitting a planet at all.

Don't be silly. With high EMS, we see that wave passing harmlessly through troops on Earth a few seconds later.

Yeah, it destroyed the citadel, but magically lost it's energy when reached surface :wizard:

You better go look up the "double-slit experiment." Observation does matter.

But yes, under some interpretations the cat counts as an observer, so we can't ever get up to that level of superposition.

Believe me, I would love this:

But I know it won't happen.

That's the only scene or picture we missed at the Destroy ending. But those who are dead, are dead. Like in my ending Kaidan, Mordin, Thane, Legion and EDI. After the scene at the Normandy in the Extended Cut, the Normandy must lift up and instead of the Shepard breathing scene there must be this picture without the ones who are dead while Hackett is saying "And one day Shepard and Anderson will be proud and grateful of the crew they leaded."

Isn't the Catalyst an AI, who lives aboard the Citadel, which he states is 'part of him'......?

I think the wave would have done 'some' damage to the Citadel at least, although it's unclear as to what exactly.

I imagine there is a fair amount of damage, sure. We can see a couple of subsidiary blasts on the Citadel, plus the arms separating.

Nope... in all OC endings get Normandy hit from magical wave and ship was damaged by this magical wave... in EC the ship gets hit only from low EMS endings

This is what I needed to see at the moment. Just switching Tali with Kaidan for LI. ;)

In a way, I almost want the refusal ending, where at least I know everyone is dead and living in- whatever that life after death is-  all together in a scene like this, giving the next cycle the reaper, er, bioware problem.

But coming to reality, knowing thats not the case, that Shepard is dead while his crew still lived, for the time being, will they make an appearance in ME4? Will Shepards LI take his/her place?

I wouldn't mind  playing Spectre, Kaidan Alenko.

Or should I say, Commander Alenko. :o

. Not all technology comes from the reapers.  Geth, not made with reaper technology.  Conventional FTL is possible without reaper tech.  The Crucible is also not reaper tech.

Yesh, it's nearly as good as that episode of the SImpsons where Bart, LIsa and their classmates are all stranded on the deserted island.  We may never see them rescued, but  James Earl Jones tells us:

So the children learned how to function as a society, and eventually they were rescued by, oh, let's say...Moe

Closure! :wizard:

Exactly. You're finally getting it. Perfection! Closure! Once you get to that state you can see the beauty and the pretty colors!

I can't wait for the conversation with the arch-demon at the end of Dragon Age 3.
