Now I don't know if this was already posted or whatever or if that poster is even genuine, but I thought you guys might be interested.
First post:
"GUYS! DRAGON AGE 3 LOOKS AMAZING!!!!
IT IS MASSIVE!!!
One level in DA3 is as big as ALL the levels in DA2"
Second post:
"Dragon Age 3 Info
Protagonist is human. Player can choose different backgrounds for their character that will affect portions of the story. Warden and Hawke may appear if you played the first two games and as NPCs. Flemeth is coming back. Dragon Age is not a trilogy but there will be a close to certain stories, “threads.”The is a big Quanri story waiting to be told. Not a big focus of the story but we will learn more. Importing save files from previous games are presenting an issue due to the switch in engines. However they are looking at how to keep the Player’s choices. We are going across many lands this time around. "
Thoughts?

Called it! Good decision, Bioware. Nice little compromise to Origin stories with the alternate backgrounds.Blackrising wrote...

You can choose from multiple backgrounds, but bear in mind they're not playable like in Origins.marshalleck wrote...

I know, I didn't want them to be like origins at all, since they didn't do much except for the first and last hour of the game.Hrungr wrote...

The info came from Cameron Lee's (a Producer at Bioware) tweets at the EE.Blessed Silence wrote...
I take everything with a grain of salt unless a dev comes in here or I watch it on an actual EA vid. Sorry, don't buy any of it ... but I'm cynical and jaded like that.

I loved the Origins myself as a way to help establish the character, family, his/her motivation, replayability, etc.. The fact that they're going with a human-only protagonist is the first real letdown I've heard for DA3.marshalleck wrote...

Sir, do not fret too much; race can provide some interesting context, but the character, who he/she is as an individual, goes beyond his/her biological designation. Let's have faith that the writers ddo an amahzing job crafting the MP.

It's a good decision, this way the character will be more tightly integrated with the story rather than them having to go with some generic catch all plot to wrangle everyone in.Hrungr wrote...

Seriously though, I couldn't be happier. The Origins allow for some diversity between games (different Origins effect the Human PC in different ways) and, on top of that, we'll have closure for our previous Heroes and their stories which will allow me, personally, to move forward in the story. And news about the game being larger (expected) and added customization has me quite gleeful. Also, Flemeth!

Nah, I gather that, given their presence hinges on previous saves, they will not be prominent figureheads in the plot. Previous main characters will make a giggle appearance to appeal to the owners of the original games, and make their exit.

Yeah, fraught with problems. Not least how they would keep their appearance in line with player's customised appearance. They do need closure though, as i don't want them to stay vanished.

So one race with a few options for a backstory, like ME1?
I'm okay with that.
Same. I think it is a good cheap way to add something more to the character backstory without having to waste all that time and resources to have Origins. Hopefully, that time and money will get used for a great ending.

I could care less if they just end up using a default looking Warden as long as I get a bit of closure with them. Hawke I am not to worry about.
