So we are Human again. Really Bioware?

And if there are other DA games after this one, then there are other chances to play as a different race.

It could:
"Who they hell is this guy?"

As for being restricted to a human once again, it's certainly regrettable, but I will reserve judgement until there's some concrete information on how different backgrounds will have "significant impact on the story."
As for having your own castle, it'll be fun to see whether it plays like NWN2, DA:A, or if they have something else in mind.

Castles sound interesting, though. Wonder if it will be anything like Crossroad's Keep in NWN2.

Disappointed I won't play as Dalish but.. It would seem silly for another race to serve the Chantry.

It's interesting news rather.
Will see how it goes for them. It does lower the chances of me liking the game though.

I hope we get to play judge again some like we did in DA:A. That was fun.

Despite the fact they've said numerous times that this is not the case at all?

I know that you're saying this jokingly(I hope), but in case someone turns this into another talking point, I'd like to remind people that a voiced PC did not stop different races for SWTOR. The choice of human as race is likely because of plot reasons or the additional expense of voice acting and content for NPCs to react to a PC of a different race(which is irrelevant to the PC being voiced).

Get your facts out of here, the BSN is a place for assuming "feature I dislike" is also to blame for "another feature I also dislike!"

The fact that PC will be voices was solid prove that there would be only 1 playable race... Or did anyone expecte that Human/Elf/Dwarf/Kassith would have the same voice?
I'm more interested in backgrounds:
Nobility; Thief; Apostate; Tower Mage; Templar... wait! Will our background be our (somewhat gameplay changing) specialization or will learn how to become a Templar/Healer by having a pleasant chat with "the master" or will there be time vacuums (Acts)?
PS: I hope the castle is not just a money eater but is somehow important to the plot...

I hope they'll improve the CC, with more option on defining our character's body. I don't want my mage to be full of muscles like a warrior. He doesn't have to be a wimp, but I want to make him slimmier (is that the right word) than a warrior. Or having a female warrior with more muscles (like Aveline, which body was better as a warrior than Hawke).

I suspect you have a better chance of getting a mysterious stranger option than in Origins as the origins were to introduce the player to the world, something the new ones won't need to do.Sylvius the Mad wrote...
I really hope one of those background options is "mysterious stranger".
Letting me choose among three options (as ME did) is better than forcing me to have one in particular (like DA2 did), but not nearly as good as letting me define it entirely myself.
And yes, I realise it would then have no impact on "the story" as it is defined by BioWare. Since I don't accept their definition, I obviously don't care about any such impact.

The cinematics are at least partly to blame for this. With differing race heights, the cinematics are more expensive if the PC's height isn't pre-determined.
