Wait you mean you can get Defender achievement (Attain the highest level of readiness in each theater of war.) without playing any MP? HOW???Pedrak wrote...
I think this is a lesson they've learnt, since they actually changed it with the Extended Cut in ME3.

So would playable werewolves, and golems be acceptable then?
I just wanted to ask from a lore based perspective, because to me Volus makes sense lore-wise. Fighting Geth in London is kinda rediculous I agree, but I can deal with it. Does make me wonder if we are going to have distinct factions to fight across the mp mode though.
Sorry, missed this response.
I don't think the Volus as front-line fighters made much sense in terms of lore, given their fraility and the probably fatal dangers even minute environmental exposure would endanger in their case. (Unlike, say, the Quarians, who could get sick from suit exposure, but wouldn't instantly do so in all cases.) BioWare sort of edged around that by saying they'd developed really good envrionmental suits - which sort of makes sense, but then you'd wonder why they wouldn't use that tech to make stronger suits for existing frontline fighters, and stick to their traditional role of air and tech support. The developers wanted to add a pure support class into the game, and I suppose the Volus fraility offered an opportunity for this. Some people think it's not too demanding on lore; others think it's too much to ask. I fall into the latter camp.
My point is just that things which are contestable should probably be avoided in MP from the outset if it's not meant to adversely affect lore. I have no idea in what directions the DAIII team is going to take this new iteration's solo or MP mode; I just hope they'll treat the lore with care at all times. I think of Dragon Age as being even more based in narratives and the universe they've created than ME3, which has always had those 'gameplay trumps lore' moments, like with Omnigel and thermal clips.
In short, BioWare has done a great job with creating a world in DA, which is a big part of why the series is as affecting as it is.

first of all, not all are wanna play MP. just looks at ME3 forums, and those whines about war assets.
Second - looks at war assets, war assets unlocks most stupid ending - synthesis, and that's it. Ah yes, Shep will not die (he will later however.)
Wealth - just look at any game that was made by bioware at this moment. Money never were a problem, ever.
Experience? really? why?
So if there will be a coop MP like ME3 it's fine, i like Coop in ME3, pointless but fun. Should it influence SP in one way or another? I hope not.

They can keep MP for people who want it, but I hope it will have no significant impact on SP. And as I've always said, if it takes too much time and resources to complete MP, scarp it and put all the hard work in SP.

In my case they're two things I would like to see multi player allow us to do. First I would like it if we could earn wealth via multi player for the single player game. Secondly I would like it if we could gain experience points for our character. The reason for this due to bioware's typical game style.
In Jade Empire silver was finite if you don't count a casino that didn't pay out much. In Mass effect you could use a save import and as your level influenced what items dropped which influenced their value you could gain effectively an infinite amount of credits. That said initially at least credits were extremely limited and requires some thought. In Mass effect 2 credits were flat out limited while once again in mass effect 3 credits are unlimited via save imports but you can't just farm them up. Dragon age origins gold and awakening gold is rather limited unless you use a work around involving selling a certain potion and buying the reagents at just the right vendors. Dragon age 2 once again gold is extremely finite especially in the first chapter.
So due to bioware's tendency to make wealth a little on the difficult side to come by I'm pretty much for something that would let me build up some starting finances. My reasons for experience are pretty much the same. Bioware has a tendency to make the enemies you have to kill fairly finite. To the point that in dragon age origins and DA2 I was very careful to disarm every trap I possibly could to get as much experience as I could.
Of course to anyone wondering, why have a multi player aspect influence the game at all? Well for me the best reason I can give is that if there isn't some reward for the single player came beyond an achievement I wouldn't even touch multi player.
see i totaly agree here
i just want to add lil more to it make it like a social area were players can wander of easyly openworld concept.
have a sims like life for their rpg charecter ,so the single player to gets more xp wealth and rare items. and find fights with npc as well as pvp conditions .
and even if the story ends the player can keep playing and socialising and finding more skills and powers .yes im basicaly making it seem like a MMORPG but yeah i want that with the good graphics of DA.
