Name it Laputa as it takes to the sky.
What's wrong with "Balamb Garden?"
(Or Galbadia Garden, for my less morally upright characters.)
(Seriously, though. Bioware isn't going to let us do this. They're sharply limiting magical travel, as I explained earlier in this thread.)

Here's a link to the thread where I posted my argument on why I don't want that. I'd retype it, but I'm lazy. (And should be doing homework right now.)

Interesting.. Dungen with torture chamber for one of your playthroughs, garden with birds and flowers for another..
I could get behind that. Have a "Castles Depot" where you can buy torture racks or pie baking ovens and merry-go- rounds. You decorate as you see fit for your playthrough
Though I bet we would have BSN threads demanding we could have rotating impaling horses on the merry go round, while others would want the temperature of the "boil in oil" cauldron dropped to tepid and jacuzzy jets added

I mean, all still on the wild assumption that we even have a stronghold.

Um, don't want to be rude but it would be helpful to point out where, in the 19-page thread, you specifically mentioned this... was it the part about the Cardinal Rules? That only prohibits teleportation strictly. It's true that we haven't seen anything float via magic outside of individual mages (the Architect) and, say, the Black City in the Fade kinda.Riverdaleswhiteflash wrote...

I would like it to be kinda like DA:A where you had to make a few decisions and people came to you with there problems and you had to decide what to do with it. I think they could improve on it, but that is what I would mostly want in it.
This!
and you should be able to host parties!

Sorry about that. Page 13, towards the top. (Took me a while to find, too. How embarrasing.)
Here's the link to the quote I was thinking of when I wrote said post. Essentially Gaider wants to keep stuff like resurrection and long-distance teleportation rare enough that you sit up and take notice when he uses them. Hence why the Circles don't know how to do either of those.
(And no, it's not just teleporation they forbid. Apparently, it's supposed to be impossible to travel magically. As far as I recall, the wording of The Codex entry was roughly "no way to travel short of putting one foot in front of the other.")
Edit: Since for some reason I can't neatly link to the exact quote, it's on page 3, a short distance under a post by, well, you.

And about the torture room thing i think we should get one but we should get a choice to use it. I mean renegade characters could use it. plus espionage is supposed to be in this game so maybe enemy spies get into the castle which i bet they will. You could execute them... torture them for info, send them back with a message. just an idea...
We could always have them listen to Emille's mom for 1 hour

IMO that feels like a little too literal of an interpretation of the "one foot in front of the other" thing. I mean, I can think of mundane ways people can travel without putting one foot in front of the other in the setting (horse, boat, griffon). To me that emphasizes that you can't just blink from one place to the other, but not that you couldn't possibly exert a magical force to cause movement. I mean, that's what the Force Mage tree is for.
As often as I post here, I'm really surprised this sort of thing doesn't happen more often.Edit: Since for some reason I can't neatly link to the exact quote, it's on page 3, a short distance under a post by, well, you.

I want to be able to arrest people and put them in my dungeon, later I can interrogate them, if I please.
I want a High Dragon Trophy above my Throne.
I want to hold court.
I want random events, where I have to make a decision for all the people who live in the castle.
I want to customize my castle.
I want to buy pets for my castle.
I want to celebrate a wedding in my castle.
I want to collect taxes from farmers around my castle.
And I want stables for my horses.
