I want the chance to defend my castle from a siege, trapped inside the walls. That would be neat.

For myself? We need an armory and a grand banquet hall.

towards my castle only for my fleet to swoop down upon them and tearing it appart. The swooping will be grand

I'd like something similar to Suikoden.

Where as you recruit followers/companions your castle is expanded or renovated with areas relevant to those recruited, such as an armoury, training area or even a tavern. And like Suikoden the expansion of the castle would include an increased army (yes, I hope there's an army to lead too).

I really liked most of the Suikoden series.

I think it would be interesting to have a brothel not just for money making, but also blackmail and spying. 

But that is more on the scale of a city brothel, not a brothel in a castle.

I'd like to be able to do a little bit of customization. Don't like red curtains? Change them to blue (or green, or yellow, or black.) Want a giant tapestry to hang on the wall? All sorts of designs you can choose from. I'm thinking more like Fable 3, rather than Skyrim... You had certain places in your home that you could decorate, and you could choose what kind of furniture or which paintings you wanted to hang in your home. I thought that was kind of cool. Being able to do that in your own castle would make it feel more like your own domain.

Like in the Hawke estate, there was a painting of a guy over the writing desk. Who was that guy? Was it Malcolm? Was it Gamlen before he got ugly? Was it the grandfather? I have no idea who that person was. I'd rather have a tapestry depicting a mabari hanging there.

I like the idea of the tapestry. But wouldn't you rather have a Canada goose instead?.

I may have a few protests at first the practice will come in handy when I have to deal with Uruk-hai darkspawn besieging my castle.

Every time the castle gets brought up I have NWN 2 flashbacks. My castle is going to end up crumbling with no Chantry or in-house mage because I'm going to avoid all castle-building quests like the plague.
