I turned down blood magic from the (spoiler) and Arcane Warrior from wherever it is you get it from. Are those opportunities lost forever? (Except for starting a new game, obviously).

I think for Arcane Warrior you could allways go back to the ruins and get it (kind hard to post where exactly within NO SPOILERS ALLOWED section ;P) as for Blood Mage you will need to load the save before saving/killing Connor in Redcliff. Once you unlock them you will have them on the next playthrough.

So what you're saying is, when you unlock specialisations, they are still unlocked if you start a new game?

Yup. You only need to unlock it once

Through some exploration I discovered there is another way to unlock Arcane Warrior I know I can't spoil anything, but I'll just hint Brecilian Forest.
