EDIT: Oh, just realized, that's elves, not humans. Could be anywhere, then.

Oooh our castle. I thought the first one was the Dalish. Good for them if it is.
EDIT
And is it just me, or is the middle figure on the castle's bridge look like a prisoner? Could that be us???

It looks good. It does feel more Old England than Old Europe to me though.

Just out of curiosity, answer if you like or not, how long have you guys had these concept pieces? Obviously there is more that you haven't shown us yet. I really like the first one though. I want to say that group is either mages or elves. Probably elves.

And lo! The mighty land fleet of aravels! Maybe DAIII will have be like 'Wagon Train' in Thedas.
The art is quite beautiful.

Will they finally do the elven landships justice this time around? No tents/sailed-wheelbarrows? Yay.

Looks like the art style might be better than DA2's.
I like the castle, looks strong and defensible.

Sweet. Thanks.
Could that castle be Weishaupt?
And I think I see a warden in the jungle ruins.

the first one: It looks like a Dalish clan traveling. I love ther scenery in the background
the second one: the armor reminds me a little of the Grey Warden armor, although it might just be the blue and silver
the third one: If that is our castle, it looks great. @Elfman, I see what you mean. The middle person does look like a prisoner.

So far, so good.
The Dalish crossing the plain makes for a cool visual. Quite like that huge aravel. Be interesting if you'd have to intercept the roaming Dalish at different points throughout the game in different locales. But I notice that there aren't any halla pulling those aravels...
The keep is... a bit bland and a bit small, but at least it's in an interesting spot. Kinda hope they spice it up a bit when they get around to rendering it.
The dungeon's probably the nicest concept art of the bunch. Love how it's overgrown. Be kinda cool to have to wade though knee-deep vegetation with things jumping out at you.
But... I'm kinda hoping to see some even more impressive locales. It looks good, but I'm hoping to see great by the time the game actually rolls out.

When they showed these off I was most impressed by the overgrown cave thing. The way Gaider and the rest of the panel talked it seems like we're going to be "myth hunting" versus going to people and then exploring their area. Sort of to give the impression of "open world" but not filling the game with trillions of everythings of useless empty space thats stupid.
To expand on the "myth hunting", the way they talked up exploring Thedas history intrigued me. Seemed like they want us to discover old ass secrets and stuff and not quite so much just "hey templars, mages, knock it off! I'm an inquisitor!" like people seemed to be hypthesizing.

They do look spiffy. However, some of the final products never look like their concept artworks (Remember Leliana and Zevran's CA?) so here's hoping the final versions look just as awesome. If that is elven ruins I am excited, that is one thing about the DA world I am very interested in.

Beautiful stuff. Is it just me (and I realize this is just speculation), but does that character in the Dalish picture on that rocky outcropping look like Merril from her DA2 concept art? http://fc00.devianta...des-d3a6ll9.jpg

**** I wanted to post that link. I'm always late to the party!
The concept art looks great. I just hope the in-game version is somewhat similar, as that's sort of not been the case for most things in DAO and DAII.
