We now have castle and companion customization. All that nice stuff...

...so will we get player ARMOR customization this time? Sometimes just deciding colors would be enough. So how about it?

Maybe. I don't care, but it would be nice, I suppose.

I care about it more than companion customization. After all, they are their own people. I won't go and tell what people wear in real life either.

I think we will. But we'll just have to see.

They have mentioned they were experimenting with changing the materials and colors of the player's armor and clothing. Don't know if it'll be in the final product but it sounded really cool. And they did just say customization would be back in "a big way" so we can at least safely assume we will have more than a few options in that regard.

I think companion customization is more important than choosing our armours colors. Anyway, they said at the PAX that they wanted to implement some type of custiomization for the  PC's armour, like changing colors and similar thing.

Speaking as someone who has commanded people in battle, I have.  Aesthetically I don't care what they look like, I need to be able to mess around with the functionality of it all though.  To a larger degree than DA2 allowed.

If we don`t get costomization this time, I won`t buy the game. Simple as that. It ruined the replayability of DA2, and even worse; it made the game way too easy. I had more money than I could spend, early in act2. Simply because All of the armours I found I had to sell. Nobody but Hawke could use them anyway. Having "unlimited" money early in an rpg kills alot of the difficulty.

with the elimination of playable races, I think is almosto ridicolous speak of customization. who care about the color of the armour when you can't even choose who you are?

Of course I can. Being human doesn't mean I'm stuck with a single personality; my characters can behave in thousands of different ways, pointy ears or otherwise.

Really? Like making choices that actually matters? Like you did in DA2? The personality bits only influenced how conversations played out. Thats it.

Oh don't misunderstand me, choices that matter are great. I simply don't see how being human means you can't have hundreds of characters with different goals and personalities, even if the world won't always agree with their point of view.

The dialogue wheel gives you 3 personality choices. Funny, Mean, Kind. If you are male or female...doesn`t matter. Its not recognized in the game at all.

Yes, so? Having only three tones doesn't mean a character can't be complex, unless you decide to pick a color and go with it the entire game.

Try playing Planescape Torment. Thats a complex character.

I don't see how the Nameless One being a complex character automatically makes Hawke shallow, regardless of how the player crafts his/her personality, to be perfectly honest.

In planescape the characters personality influences the game and the story. In DA2, Hawke influences nothing at all.

Dragon Age 2 is getting a sequel.  Planescrap didn't get a sequel.  That says it all.  DA2 is the better formula.

Then we are probably talking about different things. I simply believe that DA II's dialogue options still gives us tools to create a deep, multilayered character. How that affects the storyline is something else, though I would like for the game to reconize suchs things more.

For the record though, race meant very little in DA: O as soon as you finished Ostagar.

Only being able to play Humans means it's an automatic no buy for me. It's just going to turn out to be another DA2/ME3, they are going to say all these big things about the game but it's just going to end up being a turd. The Dragon Age story will end the same way the Mass Effect one did, with a wet fart.

Justin Bieber sold more albums than Sarah Brightman last year. Does this mean his music is of a higher quality?

Hawke would've influenced nothing even if you could've choose to play as an elf, human or dwarf. The fact that we play as a human PC isn't related to the fact that Bioware gave use three different toned dialogue options.

I'm familair with both of them, and I can asure you that yes, it does mean that.   Both specialize in pop music and nothing more.  While Brightman does have an avenue into "real" music, the limo is mearly a bed with wheels, if you know what I'm saying, and I'm sure you do.  ;-)  Bieber at least puts on a good show, which is all pop is about.
