Ok, I agree. Collectors are OP.

Nope. They are OP on Bronze and Silver.

Few days ago I was in a gold team and we hit them several times in a row....
We decided to take a break by fighting gold reapers....
It was easy.....

Yup! Got to love a vanguard charging a scion with little to no damage. That squad member will possibly bleed out or be stomped before anyone can take out the beastie slowly walking over them. That is unless they can gel and get the hell out of there before going down again.

You mean the problem isn't that Scions are armored like top tier bosses, do more damage with their shots than anything else in the game (and the shots both stagger and delay shield regen, can't forget that), and can be possessed and given more armor and the ability to cluster bomb players?
Everything else is fine, but Scions are in dire need of rebalancing, especially in the lower difficulty settings.

That's the real issue. A difference in difficulty doesn't automatically equate to the greater of the two being "OP".thegamefreek78648 wrote...

The problem IMO is they need a more difficult version of Gold but one faction only.
Silver is too easy
Gold is good except the Collectors.
Platinum seems just an afterthought with the mixing of the factions they throw at you.
I propose some sort of Gold Plus(or whatever name they come up with) where the enemies have 25% more health/armor than Gold and more of them. Of course this means they normalize the Collector difficulty in normal Gold. Just a thought.

Reapers and Cerb are both easiest in Gold.

I claim much of the fault. I was working on my Tech Armor challenge. My plan was to charge my Krogan into a pile of Collectors, detonate the tech armor, and then blast the remnants for the Katana challenge. This usually ended with my death, and then my squadmates. Those damn Scions are 3x worse than ravagers.
PS - the above technique worked well against Geth.

Abominations: They are upgraded husks; they do everything Husks do and also explode upon death, hurting anyone nearby. They can be randomly upgraded to make their explosions even bigger.
Collector Troopers and Captains: They essentially work the same as Cereberus's Assault Troopers and Centurions except they can also be randomly upgraded as well, there are a few minor differences in terms of stats but they don't do anything too different.
Oh no, wait, That's completely wrong. What I MEANT to say was the Collector Captains can summon up webs which normally block your movement but if you are unlucky enough to be caught in one, makes you completely useless - you can't move, you can't fire your gun, you can;t use any powers, you just have to wait for someone else to get you out of there. They can also unleash swarms which take several hits from all but the most powerful weapons to destroy and upon impact will hurt you and stop you from using any powers for a few seconds. So in fact, Collector Captain's are the most overpowered mid-range enemy in the game.
Scions: As davidman92 pointed out earlier in this thread, Scions have extremely tough Armour, hit you with a weapon that drain your shields and then stop them from recharging, and can be randomly upgraded to cluster bombing the player forcing them out of cover. Try fighting a Possessed one and a non-Possessed one at the same time if you think they're not overpowered - give me THREE of any other non-boss unit in the game rather than two Scions ...
And finally ...
The Praetorian: The fastest boss in the game by a long way, bubble shield to protect it from powers, just as tough as any of the other bosses if not more so, and an instakill move as commonly deployed as the Banshee's.
Quite frankly, the only Collector enemy whose unit is NOT easily the best unit in the game is the Trooper. Every other Collector enemy is the most powerful unit of it's type.
Try getting hit by a Swarm, a Scion's missile and then going up against a Praetorian. Good luck with that ...
As far as I'm concerned, the Collectors have ruined the fun of selecting a random enemy and they can't be nerfed soon enough.

That awkward moment when you are doing U/U/G runs and after three or four succesful random extractions you bump into the Collectors. Firebase Jade, third wave: uploading data. Praetorians spawn like rotten hell and after wave three you stand there with no missiles and little medigel left. Thanks, good luck with that.
