Ok so I know I've got a headhsot on a praetorian which indicates that it has a 40% extra damage weakspot like the rest of the bosses, but neither I nor my friends seemed to have figured out the extact point. Is it the eyes?

on a related note: what does bursting the sacks on a scion do?

Staggers them and tmk deals a heafty amount of damage and reduces their damage output.

I've heard it's the upper thigh area.

I think shooting them in the belly works. At least, my sniper shots seemed to do a lot more damage when I shot the praetorian in underside.

You have to shoot open the 'groin' basket that has the husk heads in it.

Once that is open, keep shooting their to get head shots.

If you shoot off the plate on their belly, it reveals a group of husk heads that take extra damage.

thewalrusx, you will know when the plate on their belly is off when they do a drop and roll. then you'll notice the heads.

I've always wondered what staggered them; I figured it was just damage-related animation and nothing more. I'll keep a look out for the Husks' heads. Thanks for the info everyone.

Armor Piercing rounds, mods, etc. will allow you to bypass blowing off the plate as well, as I've killed one with a headshot (my 10th one so that's how I know) without that plate being removed. I think it'll work if you're shooting at their side too, but I'm not as positive on that one.

Indeed it is, the part that those two "teeth" protect at times, at the bottom of the body...I got a "headshot" kill once I killed one shooting it there. (plus, it does more damage, so there's that... :P)

Also, it seems you can headshoot it from the side if you aim at those reddish "joints" in the bottom part of its body...basically, shoot the parts that aren't covered by the armour...

I'm glad we have a game encouraging us to aim for the crotch. :D

Its eyes and underbelly. With sustained fire it tends to easily get knocked out of the air or staggered. Only downside is that it covers its eyes with those annoying mandable things when you really concentrate fire on them.

I have discovered that hitting the eyes when they are shooting the laser beam is very effective. Otherwise if you can flank them, there are a kind of gills on the underbelly that seem to be another good weak spot.

It is. I have killed many gold praetorians with 3 full armor bars left with a cloaked Widow shot with Targetting VI 3 fired on that heap of heads. If hit anywhere else, they have 1 bar left.
