I read that The Warden and Hawke will come back as NPC's for Inquisition. Personally, unless they will be able to look exactly like our characters they should not appear.

If it's just their default looks it will be a big letdown. Would they even be able to import their faces now that they have moved onto a new engine? Will we get to create their faces again ourselves?

It was stated elsewhere that yes, this may be a possibility. It isn't official yet, but it is possible. I am curious how face imports would work as well, unless they avoid showing player faces in favor of a silhouette or back shot.

If my dalish warrior warden looks anything like a DA2 elf, I won`t even dare play through DA3.

I'm guessing they'll put at least the Warden in full body amor and stick a helmet on top, so there'll be no problems with the face import.

Yeah, no guarantees (yet) that they'll both make an appearance, however if they did, I also have no doubt they'll work the save files into it somehow. Otherwise, there's the default Hawke. Maybe they'll create a default "hero of Ferelden" as well

Warden looks rather void of emotion. Considering closest you get to him is life like statue in depths of  Warden mauseloeum&memorial within sacred  graveyard of Dead Wardens.

Hawke looks pretty retconned since BW has come to realize  no player wants to have a DA II related memory if this is somehow avoidable.

They kind of have to change the look of the two. They are using a brand new engine, after all. Not sure how well it would import the face of my Warden.

Because of this statement it isn´t a good idea to bring both back.
And the Revan method is lazy.

By the way what about Bethany, Carver and Gamlen?
My Grey Warden Carver isn´t the default Carver. He is black.

perhaps at the beggining of the game, you must customize the Warden and Hawke again, default hawke is also an option.

They have different faces. Because of the new engine it could be a Import problem.

The problem with that would be you would already know they would be in the game. It would take away from the moment of seeing them return IMO.

I am fine with them saying that they may return but if they let me customize the Warden and Hawke at the beginning I won't be surprised to see them show up (especially when they are supposed to be missing).

My concern is for those of us who used mods for either scars, tattoos or hair. Will this lead to disasterous concequences for in game cameos?

Imagine the epic rage on these forums if after all the collective whining they finally do appear in DA3... and are portrayed as canon!Warden and canon!Hawke.
