Have Hawke and the Warden captured and turned into horrible creatures (in a way consistent with the overall story in DA3). Then, when we see them again, they can reference their past actions, but look nothing like any Hawke or Warden ever.

Boom. End of problem.

That's...probably what they'll do....

As much as I would like to see my Warden and Hawke, I just can't see how it can be done. I have a guess, however. What if our two heroes show up with a ingame headwear that covers the face. For example:

A Warrior Warden or Hawke wear a helmet.

A Rouge or Mage warden or Hawke wear a hood and/or a mask.

In that sense, we should not worry too much about it.

It's spelled "Rogue" not "Rouge". Just FYI.

Oh. I must have misplaced the letters again. Thanks for letting me know.

Maybe they'll meet as guests of honour at an Orlesian masked ball?

I'm kind of in love with this idea?

perhaps at the beggining of the game, you must customize the Warden and Hawke again, default hawke is also an option.

The problem with that would be you would already know they would be in the game. It would take away from the moment of seeing them return IMO.

I am fine with them saying that they may return but if they let me customize the Warden and Hawke at the beginning I won't be surprised to see them show up (especially when they are supposed to be missing).

Then how about doing it when they are about to appear.

That would be funny if he/she didn't say anything at all while Hawke will be talking up a storm. Warden just nods or shakes head.

On a serious note: I just don't see the point of a CC for an npc that we may only see a brief few times. People complain about wasting resources and for that I would consider to be a waste.

Here's a bigger problem, players will not control hawke or the warden should they appear in the game, according to this anyway.

So I imagine no matter what happens, bioware will lose because fans will get their massive collective panties in a bunch the size of antartica over that.

They are beyond the Chantry reach in DA:LORE. They are likely after Flemeth like Varric, Isabella and Alistar.

Naw I think MP is a waste of resources and money.Having a meeting with The Warden and Hawke would be way more interesting...Would also be interesting if whenever the Inquisitor(or whoever the PC is)asks them a question and Dialougue Wheel(or Tree)comes up and we can choose how The Warden or Hawke responds to said question.
