Here is another one

- For pellet shotguns always use the smart choke. Things like the crusder or disciple don't need it.

bumping this one again, I have never heard or saw anywhere that the Disciple is a projectile weapon and not pellet based...... so is this actually true?  or does it fire a slug  or what?

I'm pretty sure the Disciple is pellet based, not a slug.  In fact, I was under the impression that if not every pellet hits the target, it won't stagger (which is pretty much the only reason to use that gun).  I guess it'd be easy enough to test, though.  Shoot at a wall, and see what kind of pattern shows up.

-You move faster with the package if you walk backwards. You move even faster if you light melee on a Krogan.
- Every enemy with an insta-kill not-named a Banshee can only insta-kill after they perform a melee. The melee doesn't need to hit anything.
- Banshees can sync kill any time their barrier is up (the visual, not the actually health bar component). Shei s ALWAYS primed to insta-kill when teleporting.
-You get damage reduction whilst in cover and whilst performing some actions (melees, dodging, certain powers such as BC). You get invinceability frames after medi-gelling, using an OS or Stim Pack, whilst grabbing and during Nova.
-Enemies prefer to spawn at least two spawn points away from any given player. This is only true if there are such spawn points available otherwise the enemy will spawn in any point the player currently isn't.

I know this sounds simple, but this has been happening a lot this weekend.

-COMPLETE OBJECTIVES FIRST

If objectives aren't completed, enemies continue to spawn. It doesn't matter how awesome you are at killing stuff, you will never kill it fast enough. So next time you hear kill this specific enemy, escort this, hack this, carry this....stop killing stuff and do it. The only exception is wave 11. When you hear "get to the extraction zone," don't. Engage away then work your way back.

This +1.

I've noticed this increasingly annoying trend.  Especially on x4 deactivate.  Only this afternoon I was on a lobby with not one but two infiltrators, a human and a salarian.  I had to do all 4 of the damn deactivates with a squishy Drell while these two swanned around missing headshots.

Do not biotic charge a Banshee. Ever.

Practice spawn nuking (preferably with 'nades instead of missiles). The Drell Adept is great for this, and it'll make waves easier.

The HSol and TSol can double tap with Claymore (or any other single shot weapon). With this great power comes great responsibility. You will be the team Phantom killer.

Annihilation Field can be detonated. Use it when surrounded.

Tech Armour's detonation is weak, but staggers well. Use it when surrounded.

I have more, but am too lazy at the moment.

a krogan heavy melee can send an unprotected possessed abomination flying a safe distance away before it detonates. saying that you can also get teammates killed if you swat it into them for the lulz

Yeah, i have not used it in a while but if memory serves me correctly it is in fact pellet based via the pattern from shooting walls :P thats why i was doubting it isnt pellet based

Hide behind corners as a batarian soldier.

Shoot Phantom /dragoon with the Ballistic blade then with reggar carbine, throw 2 Inferno grenades

Run away and watch that phantom/dragoon chasing after you bleed to death, even if you die you still get the kill

Best way to troll phantoms is equip Acolyte on Batarian or Krogan Soldier, once barrier is down throw some nades bad let them bleed to death while trying to stab you.

It's all about timing for BC a Banshee, seriously  i have  only been sync killed by a banshee once, and also same from atlases, but then i only BC them from the backside while they are occupied with teammates :P and i have had the game since release :P

if you don't have armour an piercing mod/ammo equipped it is sometimes easier to shoot a guardian's feet than the mailslot.

Brutes have a sync kill, but they very rarely use it. It is also almost instant, so you probably wont figure out what happened for a couple of seconds. Also, the geth are the only faction with no units capable of sync kills, no matter how closely their stunlocking resembles a sync kill in terms of rendering you helpless.

There's some wrong info in here too >_>

One not mentioned: its possible to dodge during your getting up animation after being revived by mashing the dodge button. Great when surrounded, as you won't (hopefully) be staggered back to death.

When you need to complete the disable or hack objectives solo (either soloing or in a clutch situation,) the easiest way is to lead enemies to the other side of the map, and then run back ( by the longest way possible) to do the objective. Boss enemies will always take the bait if you shoot them first, however you still need to be aware of marauders, and sometimes centurions who generally are too smart to stop camping the objective.

-Using incendiary ammo Acolyte on a Volus Adept is a great strategy since you can detonate fire explosion with your biotic orbs.

-You can evade to the side to cancel the ''lash pulling animation'' of the phoenix adept/vanguard.

Ravages can't hurt you at point blank range, flames to the face using a vorcha is big fun since they quite often appear in pairs you can string together mucho ravager and insect kills.

The fastest way to deliver a package is having a Krogan walk backwards and do the light melees at the same time. Preferably with Adrenaline Mod 3.

power usage buttons that don't have a power assigned to them can still be used to reload cancel.

banshee's can't OHK if they are not glowing or not on the same ground level as you such as stairs

if possesed abominations get too close, don't kill them, letting them jump on you then crushing their head cancels the large explosion, I'm pretty sure any headshot kill will also cancel the explosion

krogans don't suffer a movement penalty when carrying a package, also their light melee makes them move even faster.

dragoons can easily be sidestepped once they start their whip animation, I see too many people try to back away instead of strafe

The cake is a lie.

Anything that restores any amount of shield, Geth Turret, Supply Pylon, Energy Drain etc. Will cancel any DOT.

I have quite a few more, but alas I am lazy :/

How does that cancel DOT

I don't know, space magic

In all seriousness though, if you are on one bar of health you get hit by a Banshee warp, just walk into a supply pylon to get the shield boost.

Definitely works with Adrenaline Rush (if you have Shield Boost). Have been saved many a time from Banshess by popping AR.

not sure if someone's mentioned this: PPR destroyer build, turn off and on destroyer mode so that you don't have to wait the overheat animation to recharge your ammo.

Two of the most useful things I have learned in the game so far:
1: Banshees won't sync-kill you if they aren't glowing.
2: Ravagers are delightfully useless in melee range.

About the running to extraction thing, when playing with randoms my sister and I always say "let's not run to extraction right away. It's better to draw the enemies away from the extraction rather than to it" and about 90% of the time the people playing with us will ignore us and run straight to the LZ.

yea, i dont believe that one. I get hugged regardless.

ditto. i guess they love us more.

When she is charged and teleporting around she can sync kill anyone at any time. When she stops teleporting she can only sync kill after a melee attack.

A couple of phoenix vanguard tips.

Smash can be cancelled earlier than you might think and still activate the attack. Cancelling into a roll is great for evasion if you're under fire etc, whereas cancelling into heavy melee increases damage output and hits all around you. Remember light melee hits harder but is only singke-target and has a longer wind-up.

Also, and this isn't phoenix-specific, you can melee almost immediately upon getting revived. This can sometimes save your bacon!

If wielding a Graal or GPS (A Weapon that has to charge up) when playing a Krogan, charge it up all the way and heavy melee a character. Time the hit just right and release the charge weapon so that you can smack and hit the enemy with said weapon.

When a Brute is about to charge, heavy melee it with a Krogan and you wont take as much (Sometimes none) damage.
