If you wanna go up the N7 leaderboards really really fast... find some friendly missle glitchers and play U/U/P as fast as you can, then use all the money to buy recruit packs. You'll fly up the board at an unbelievable rate : )
how does buying recruit packs increase n7?

Apart from his post bordering on trolololish, I think he's referring to how common character cards will still drop, even if the silver/gold/black ones are maxed. They give 250k exp each. He's basically saying u can let the cards level characters to promotion.

Dont use the ammo mod on the harrier. It just decreases your spare ammo count a lot while only giving you about 10 extra rounds.
Dont get greedy for ultra rares, buy a few JEPs every now & then. Your success in a game is almost derectly affected by how many missles & medigel you can use.

About the running to extraction thing, when playing with randoms my sister and I always say "let's not run to extraction right away. It's better to draw the enemies away from the extraction rather than to it" and about 90% of the time the people playing with us will ignore us and run straight to the LZ.
This always reminds me of how horses will supposedly run to the safety of their stable when scared even though the thing they're afraid of is the fire that is consuming the stable at the time.
So, when my pug-members pull that, I run after them whooping and screaming "Yeeaawwww!"
Do they understand wtf I'm doing? I doubt it. Whether or not they get it doesn't distract me from my new mission
(or dilute my amusement)

I've seen this brought up before but it confuses me. Does it actually decrease the ultimate number of shots available before running out? It just doesn't increase that amount as some might assume, right? In other words, the only change to the experience is that w/ the ammo mod you'll have the same number of shots but with fewer breaks needed to reload.
Am I just not paying close enough attention?
Edit: Either way I agree that there are wiser choices to equip

These tips are mostly for platinum if anyone else has other ideas by all means post them.
Hydra is a better version of Glacier in many ways. When I've played Gold or Platinum (pre-patch) the room always seemed to be a good base camp to start from.

*For the love of pete, DON'T dash to the LZ immediately. You're better off trying to kite enemies to the other side of the map then make a run for the LZ at about 20 to 30 seconds. Staying in the LZ for the whole two minutes is just asking for trouble. This is especially true on Rio. I have gotten so many partial extractions in pugs because no one follows this.
*Always complete the objective no matter what it is. If you're trying to draw enemies away from the objectives, then that's fine but when others are just being a jerk about it and making the objective go longer than it's supposed to that's when they're being idiotic about it. Also, objective failure means mission failure. This isn't Gears 3 where the objective is optional.
That's all I have for now. Might post more when I think of some.

Using Tactical Cloak can cause target to stop and change direction, which is confusing if you want his head to come to your crosshair. If you can kill him in one shot without TC, don't turn it on.
Sabotaging Geth Pyro and Geth Bomber is great. If you're sabotaging Geth Prime, don't destroy his turrets and drone, because instead of shooting friendlies he'll waste time to spawn new ones. However Prime prefers melee attack if something is close enough, rather than pulse rifle.
Single Scion can be distracted by one teammate provoking enemy to melee, which is too slow to be dangerous if you're behaving like annoying fly. Others can take him down without risk of being shot with pulse gun or fed with multiple grenades. Same thing with other boss units, but instakill is bigger risk.

You CAN SAFELY bcharge a Banshee during her scream & warp toss animations. She cannot grab you from the moment those animations start until they end.
Also, when a squad mate is being sync-killed, I charge immediately, as this sometimes cancels the sync-kill. If it doesn't, well, at least I got to damage the Banshee a bit in perfect safety, as a Banshee can not sync-kill two players at once. YET.

If someone is disabling device, don't stay beside of him. That's lauder call for grenade, rocket or other hostile AoE attack, which on most of the classes stagger and cancel disabling process.
I usually put the AJ's bubble up around the device and don't stand directly beside the hacking player, but scoot around the vicinity, so I can intercept enemies.

Krogan headbutt melee sometimes tracks an enemy, but backhand melee must be aimed.

Nothing happens challenge wise, as soon as you reinstall the DLC you can keep on scoring points, note though that while retaliation is uninstalled your score does not contribute towards challenge; which is the reason why I am never gonna uninstall retaliation by the way.

Sometimes enemies get stuck in mid-air on Firebase Reactor when they spawn from the ceiling. Rockets, weapons, and most powers don't work on them. If one of you is a Fury, you're in luck, no need to abandon the game. Use dark channel and annihilation field to kill the bastards.
I also encountered this bug before. A centurion and a Nemesis are stuck in mid-air with the Nemesis standing on top of the Centurion. Firing directly at them didn't work, I tried the multi-frag on the beam where they jump from and they got some damage, so I used up all my grenades and we were able to continue the match. Too bad for one teammate who quit before I did that. That was wave 6 if I remember correctly. So if you encounter this, next time try shooting where they jump from and see if they get some damage.

Anyway, I believe Warp Ammo does indeed only do extra biotic damage to targets that have been lifted (Pull, Lifting Shockwave, Lift Grenades, Singularity) and not to enemies that are currently primed with another biotic ability. As to the situation someone mentioned before where their warp rounds appeared to be doing more damage against a Brute that had been primed with Warp: I think that is down to the armour weakening effect and general debuff nature of Warp than the interaction of Warp with your ammo.
What else can I add to this great list? Well, for console players finding it difficult to reload-cancel, here are a few ways I've managed it in the past: press the button for a power that is currently on cooldown; press the button for a grenade ability when you currently have zero grenade count; go into cover; come out of cover; start to sprint then stop; if using a character that doesn't have a roll ability (TSent, TSol, Batarians, Krogans, Destroyer with DM active) move backwards + interact, or sideways + interact (the latter sometimes pops you into cover if you're nearby). Reload cancelling makes your DPS absolutely SOAR.
