-wave 11 spawns usually appear on the spawn points nearest the extraction zone

-That said, I try to control wave 11 spawns in some of the maps when in a pug team by heading there. Again, the best strategy is to NOT head into the LZ immediately, and run around the map instead. With randoms this is not always the case >.<

Giant: in that relatively empty room. just across the LZ. the one with two giant boxes and a ladder. You need to stay there though for the duration of the wave so that enemies won't spawn there.

Hydra: on the upper levels, on the left side hallways going toward the control room. so that the enemies would all spawn in the open courtyard below

Condor: stay in the highest level. That negates the spawn at the topmost level and the one in the middle level with the lone half-crate. It'll be hard to stay in the LZ with attacks coming from above >.<

Jade: the upper level, near the ammo box. Enemies would spawn in the lower level with the wall and the two half-stairs though, and in that slightly open lab... But staying in that upper level is probably for the best because enemies won't be in a higher position relative to the LZ.

Rio: Drop everything and RUN towards the half with the LZ and stay in the middle or a little to the right part of that map (the ones with the two covers, with a nice view of the middle or the right paths). It always always spawns there even if someone is already standing at the LZ.

London: the lower area in the center of the map, the one with the ammo crate behind a giant crate. So if at least your teammates decide to stay in the LZ side, you won't get swarmed from the left as well.

Dagger: since you can't know which of the two will be the LZ, I usually hang around the open area at the end of the long hallway. Or if you're too far away, go instead to the right part of that snipers deck so enemies won't be coming from there

The following just comes down to personal preference since the tips won't be as helpful...

Ghost: that room on the far right side of the map (near the other most visited ammo box). you have to arrive early though as sometimes they spawn directly above you and come down into the room. That causes enemies to spawn near the ammo box nearest to the LZ though :(

Goddess: if you stay in the lab, enemies would spawn in the lower level just to the left of the LZ :(

Glacier: too small, don't even bother haha

Vancouver: now that I think about it, I don't try to control it here since everyone seems to camp that upper level hospital room and then make a dash for the LZ...

Reactor: they almost always spawn in any of the 4 nearest spawn points in the LZ so I don't even bother anymore.

White: everyone almost always stays on that upper central area... just watch out for enemies coming up from the hallway as well.

-Final note: spawns replenish for each one that is killed by your teammates. You have to decide for yourself if you really have to go to your teammates. Just make sure you're ready for the enemies coming from the spawn you just left. =]

Not sure if this has been mentioned in this thread. I find the easiest way to avoid the geth bomber when he is poised to bomb is to run straight towards him as soon as he starts his bombing run. It's easier to avoid his carpet bombs if you run right past him then turn to attack him than trying to back away or side step. (this is of course if it is safe to do so and there is not a prime standing in your way.)

Use bubble as an offensive weapon by casting it while close up to things. Instant stagger plus if they have been warped or reaved its an instant BE. Plus you can reave them again for another BE if they managed to survive because of its short CD.

Haven't read the entire thread, so it might have already been said:

You only get full cover protection if the camera faces the cover. If you look over the shoulder of your char (or generally away from the cover) while in cover, you loose the protection.

Don't know if you all noticed, but Krogan heavy melee is very unforgiving straight ahead or left (slides right past enemy) but anything on the reticule or pretty far to the RIGHT gets locked on and he will even follow a brutes charge to complete the melee sometimes.

Fury teleports through walls. Some maps this is good, some not so good. White, Glacier, Giant... press your back to the wall and pop out of the room.

I've escaped many beatings this way.

Sometimes enemies get stuck in mid-air on Firebase Reactor when they spawn from the ceiling. Rockets, weapons, and most powers don't work on them. If one of you is a Fury, you're in luck, no need to abandon the game. Use dark channel and annihilation field to kill the bastards.

I also encountered this bug before. A centurion and a Nemesis are stuck in mid-air with the Nemesis standing on top of the Centurion. Firing directly at them didn't work, I tried the multi-frag on the beam where they jump from and they got some damage, so I used up all my grenades and we were able to continue the match. Too bad for one teammate who quit before I did that. That was wave 6 if I remember correctly. So if you encounter this, next time try shooting where they jump from and see if they get some damage.

overload will work on these stuck enemies

The widow , black widow and javelin have natural armor piercing abilities. You can apply this devastating effect to other weapons using the correct ammo mod.

Like a mattock or a claymore?

Wow such great tips!

Also geth rely heavily on their shields so they are vunerable to Overload, Energy Drain, Sabotage, and Disruptor Ammo.

cloak has never canceled the shot. i've always been able to charge, cloak, shoot, shoot again and all cloaked damage.

The Atlas can grab you over low cover. Not sure if this is well known or not but I recently found this out on a platinum solo attempt and was infuriated.

I had one grab me around a corner the other night... he started a melee, which completely missed... and as I was running away...synch kill. Give Atlases some space if you don't want to get grabbed.

When you are doing a hack objective and it somewhere you don't want it to be at you can activate it and press the it again but fast. here a video like on what I am talking about. Skip to 14:33 to see

This sounds interesting, but I don't quite understand how to do it.  You doubletap the action key and it allows you to fudge your presence in the hack circle?  Has anybody else done this?  My drellguard will be so happy.

If you get disconnected from a game for any reason, go to quick match and search for a game with the same difficulty, same map and same enemies. If you are fast enough, the automatch system will drop you straight in the game you were booted from.

The fastest way to deliver a package is having a Krogan walk backwards and do the light melees at the same time. Preferably with Adrenaline Mod 3.

No...

The fastest way to deliver apackage is having a Krogan pick up the package, hit use/run, and as soon as the package drops, start mashing your use/run key. Then you'll pickup+drop the package over and over as you run ... running all the way at full speed.

Krogan soldier's FE is better. No cooldown required, throw grenade and hit carnage at thje same time: instant combo.

When facing sync kill enemies (Or generally nasty situations) Havoc Strike has some advantages over biotic charge, such as you being able to essentially activate a dodge whilst the strike animation plays. This means you hit your target and immediately jetpack your ass outta dodge.

Makes for some interesting havoc strike spam into banshees and the like. Just plan which way to dodge and know whats behind you.

Try that, I succedeed in it a few times. Of course it's a lottery, some other times I got dropped into freshly created games with the same variables:
1) You gotta be fast, and with all the "loading" "communicating" and so on it's hard.
2) You have to setup the right variables.
3) You gotta be lucky.

A Volus following a melee Krogan around is the greatest duo of all time! Hilarity will ensue! Like George & Lenny, but without all the dead rabbits and a bullet to the back of the head...

^^

Buff a kroguard, bring a volus, and you can survive sustained fire from Harbinger. Untill a banshee comes up and hugs you.

- You can prevent an Abomination from sploding by removing its head (smash it, slice it, etc..)
- Unless you can decap an Abomination, don't over-cover-grab it.
- If someone's being molested by an Abomination, and you can't Throw it off or anything similar, look embarrassed the other way, and let them deal with it (you might feel an overpowering sense of guilt though).
- You can quickly finish the pizza delivery by sprinting over the package and spamming your pickup button while looking slightly to the floor (I'm on PC).

If you let the Abomination grab you, it will not explode (because you crush its head under your heel)
Vorcha heavy melee decaps Abominations, preventing explosions
