Huh I always thought something was wrong with them. Thanks for confirming my suspicions.
Do I mind it? Nope.
'Coz unlike the staggerfest, that are the Geth, the desperate try-hards aka Cerberus, and the buttrushing Banshees, they're fun. Tough yeah, but still fun.
I honestly don't want them nerfed (fixed w/e).

I ended up in a bronze collector match with Predator and Hornet equipped. I just wanted a quick rack-up of waves for my FQE and fun with the Predator.

It was not a quick rack-up of waves and I had to switch to the Hornet. Especially hard are Scions and Praetorians if you got no consumables equipped.
Before you do a bronze collector match, consider if it's worth the effort. And bring bigger guns.

Bioware should give half the credits when playing against cerberus/reapers...hell, maybe sometimes even no credits at all!
You know, so could be a challenge to play against them!

I like collectors, however, I don't find it balanced, fair, or difficult to be 3 shotted as a krogan with a cyclonic IV and 50% DR versus a scion. Its just ridiculous. 

It completely defeats the design philosophy behind having tougher character kits like the krogan; whats the point of going up against collectors with over 3200 shields, when those shields might as well be the 375 shields a geth engineer gets, for all the use they are going to be against a scion dealing nearly 7k damage PER SHOT. Cannon blasts are unavoidable on platinum if you're a melee kit; sooner or later something is going to snipe you. 

Enemies capable of breaking krogan/batarian shields in 1 hit; even on platinum, should NOT exist... its not a matter of difficulty; its a matter of not rendering 5 kits completely unviable for no real reason.

375 shields - 6k = shield gate
3200 shields - 6k = shield gate
What's the difference? And what's the point? Its not like krogan and batarians are super tough on platinum anyway.

The scion cannons could be changed so they deal regular damage (still over 3k damage per shot on platinum, instead of 2x this amount currently) which would render most kits just as vulnerable, but would at least give the krogan sentinel, the batarian soldier a little break; and make their survivability have some meaning in collectors platinum.

Scions are probably the only "broken" part of the faction.

You really should change this to Warp+Throw as well to make it more obvious. I know it's more elite this way because you have to know Stasis hasn't a BE evo as a reader but the easier example would probably get more attention. Image IPB

Don't mind the Scion, though. My Fury wouldn't stand a single shot even if it just did half the regular damage. Image IPB

That's crazy.  I mean the turian's biotic explosions are 33.33% weaker against collec...Oh that's right he doesn't have any biotic explosions.

For those of you saying you don't want the collectors nerfed, this topic isn't suggesting a nerf, it's suggesting a BUG FIX. The problem is that the Collectors' difficulty is completely lopsided if you're playing as a class with biotic powers and/or a tanky class that can't dodge, and all the data indicates that this wasn't intended.

If the collectors received proper damage from biotic explosions and if Scions weren't able to two-shot kroguards anymore, it would have little to no impact on engineers, infiltrators, and most soldiers and sentinels. This fix is mainly to help adepts, vanguards, certain sentinels, and any tanky classes that can't dodge the Scion's beam. This isn't about ruining your fun with the collectors, it's about making the collectors fair for a certain group of classes that are woefully crippled against them.

I'd also like to know the damage scale for the grenade hail storms. I'm trying to get a feel for whether they do more damage than geth bombers. It seems like the collector version is worse, but that's probably because they are overall more difficult.

1. Scions do way too much damage.

2. Praetorian lasers go through walls and deal damage even when there's no visual indication that they hit you

3. Probably too many possessed units at any given time.

I'm going to go with C) pressure to release on a set schedule, possibly imposed by EA. I also can't imagine EA is giving them tons of money to develop free DLC based only on the hope that will it increase micro-transactions in the store.

well, seeing as geth bomber are a hell of a lot more common than possessed scions, it would kinda make sense if scions had more powerful grenades.

Having read the "Collectors are an anti-biotics faction" thread last night and then this, I'm posting / bumping here. Don't think I've run a pure biotic against them on Gold yet, might hold off on doing that now (or, you know, use a Harrier).
