Ehh OP this is wishful thinking. No we won't be playing as an elf but as a boring human. Forget about having your own character. EAware clearly stated they have limited budget and part of it is for MP so don't even think they will invest in role-play....not EA style.

Funny though they used to have "more money" for RPG when they were not under EA.

Yeah here is an Idea. Ditch multiplayer and use the money to hire more voice actors and give voiced race options! everyone wins.

I still can't believe they are continuing to take steps backwards in the DA sequels. I guess hoping for "much of the same with improvements" for the DA sequels was too ambitious.

Its the best of both worlds, as long as both worlds are DA2.

I like my PC to be bearded so I hope to continue to be able to play as humans. I don't mind if we get to choose races though.

Yeah because playing as a Qun worshipping Qunari would of made total sense as the DA3 protagonist working for the Chantry.

 The four known races are Human, Elf, Dwarf, Kossith.  Kossith, not Qunari.  The Qunari are followers of the Qun, and any peoples might obey the Qun and follow its dictate.  I think Sawyer mentioned *somewhere* in a stray comment on these boards that the Fex are a human people, but I'm not sure of that.  Otherwise, I'd include the Fex.

It is not right for them to do it this way. There are people who want to play other races have to wait a long time and by the time the elf does get there owen game who would want to play the game any way. D.A.3 may not make the money to continue the series and they will stop at the human.

No, there are dozens of fantasy rpgs on the market that allow you to play a character of various races.

But DA:O gave me dialouge options that actually made my race important. There are not a lot of fantasy RPGs that acknowledge your race during the story.

The Origins should have been brought back. Elves, Dwarves, and Kossith would make for interesting protagonists who can provide varied points of view for the player, rather than another religiously Andrastian human protagonist.

You know, they could make a game with playable humans, an Andrastian city elf, casteless dwarf and Tal-Vashot. The decision of making the PC Andrastian isn't related to the decision of not making differen race options.

The decision to only give us another Andrastian human was my point.

Which isn't related to the race options, since if Bioware wants they could've made the human PC free to have his own opinions about religions. 

It is related to the fact that we are getting another Andrastian human, rather than having choices between Elven, Dwarven, or Kossith protagonists.

Would you have been fine if there'll be no race option and the choice of making the PC atheist, follower of the OG or whatever?
Would've you been fine if there'll be 4 playable race for the PC, but the PC is Andrastian no matter what?
