So far we have been told we have to play a human. And that human is also deeply religious. So his race and personality is pretty much made up for you when you start.

Race has been predetermined. Personality has not.

Yep dialouge wheel lets you be nice, mean, or funny. So many options.

And this is related to play as human (even Andrastian) because.....?
If Bioware will make a DAO-type of game with a fixed human, people would still be pissed for the lack of race options. They're two different problems.

I was just making a point that I don't like dialouge wheel.

If we really must play as a human, at least let us have one elven parent? At the end of the day, I just want pointy ears.

Half-humans are the same as humans, physically. No pointy ears.

I am just not a fan of humans in Dragon Age. I think having an elven parent would be cool so then are character could have a different perspective. Actually my PC in Origins was an elf. How about we jump forward like 20 years and then I can play as my OGB.

Which would looks like a human, since offsprings of elves and humans are always humans physically. I'd be curious to see the OGB with a dwarf Warden parent, though.

I know. I always thought that it was some what unfortunate the there were no half breeds in Dragon Age. It would be interestig to see characters reactions to you if you were a half elf.

This thread is on the verge of being closed due to a ton of off topic discussion.

Unfortunately OP, I can't answer your question. I'm actually not much help in general since my CC skills tend to suck so I usually just use slight deviations from the presets lest I create some horrific monstrosity.

Since it's confirmed that Da3 has only one playable  race for the pc, will it's CC dwarf the previous installments in customization options?

lol. Well done.

This one too? What´s up today?

On topic, I´d just like to be able too see eye color clearly, and full rotation so I can see the head from every angle.

Will there be sliders for ear types, mouth types, head shapes, beauty marks, freckles, scars, more hair styles(non plastic looking), nose shapes, and eye shapes? Any response will be nice.

I want exactly two things from the CC:

1. Clicking arrows instead of sliding as in Origins vs. DA2. It was far too easy to move past my intended complexion/ hair/ eye color if I can't click to get there.
2. A CC enviromnent that doesn't look like a darkened cave so I can hope to get hair color and brow color to match, and a skin tone that isn't completely unacceptable.

Lol i'm just wondering if i can recreate Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Ginnifer Goodwin in detail in Da3's vanilla cc whereas in the previous games it's only possible with a toolset, and mods.

I hope we can give our characters really gaunt faces. I sometimes like to play as a wizened mage, but I always find the jawlines for men always jutt out like an action movie star when I try to make a thin faced character.

Eh I expect that DA3 will have a lot of character customization remember DAO had 3 different races and 2 genders on each to work with so the fact they didn't have a ton of customization for each race wasn't a huge deal for me. DA2 had no production time so that is why hawk didn't have a ton of customization. So DA3 has only 1 race and it has a good amount of time so I think that customation won't be a problem

I don't know what work (if any) has been done on a character creator, but I'm pretty sure that you can create those characters exactly how I imagine them =]

;)

I'm hoping that the customization will be somewhere between DA2 levels and Dragon's Dogma Levels. I don't want just the same hair, eyes and facial features as were in the last two games, but there doesn't need to be a massive amount like in Dragon's Dogma and Saints Row.
If I'm going to be forced playing as a human, I'd like more variations in hair and at least one long hair option.

And bangs. Decent looking bangs.

I remember that you had to tap lightly in the console version to move only one space.

A cc with in game lighting like Skyrim's would help a little.

I hope we get a lot of wiggle room in the CC. Since I assume there will be 0 mods with it being on the Frostbite engine. I want lots of options and sliders to mess with to create unique characters. Some examples I'd like to see are a body mass or type slider, more hairstyles with a length slider, tattoos facial and body, scars facial and body, equipment/gear ex) bandanas, piercings, eye patches, etc.

One of the best CC's I've ever seen is actually in the WWE games. They have a numeric slider and it allows for a lot of customization. People upload tutorials on how to make celebrity and other such looking characters all the time for it.

I also kind of hope for a face code like in Mass Effect. Just so I don't spend 5 hours trying to replicate my face for other playthroughs but never get it right enough that I don't spend the rest of the game critiquing my abilities.

I play on PC and I could mouse-click the left and right arrows in Origins, but I have to move the slider in DA2. With the ability to mod complexions, it makes it very difficult to get the right face and skin tone without accidentally zooming right past it. I also used to count the mouse clicks so I'd know which skin tone I'd end up with, since it was hard to tell with the lighting.

I always use the D-pad for those types of things.

The D-pad was limiting in the number of quick slots available in combat but it's a godsend for the above.

Is Frostbite locked like that in terms of modding?

*deep breath*

If true, no wonder EA would choose that <_<
