That plot summary looks 100% real (and I guess this is why David put it into the second book). Dates are subject to change, though, I'm sure.

Based on the Game Stop description... it sounds like it's post-coronation content. I'll bet the "new character" the German site reffers to is who your PC is if your Warden didn't choose to stay a Warden, and/or if you said no to Morrigan and didn't make it. (I have wondered how they would do post-climax content when there are so many different possible endings, maybe this is how?--Keep your character if you can, otherwise, start with a shiney new character that has a special prologue to introduce them into the storyline?)



I don't know if I believe that we're getting an expansion pack in March. But seriously, who doesn't want it to be true? *Crosses fingers* Here's hoping.

Well, that's about a mile closer to being legit. According to the Gamestop one we will continue with the same character? I'd assume our Warden is now the Grey Warden commander. And where the hell is Amaranthine? I need a map.

It says in the description you choose either your own character or start over as a Warden from Orlais.  Also, it looks like only one "old favorite" character companion will make a return.  I am putting my money on Shale...

I imagine this expansion is going to pretty much set up the sequel somehow, so where they take the story will be interesting...

Well, that sounds like confirmation.  Screenshots look interesting and to think we only have to wait a few months!  Mass Effect 2 and then this...quite the start to the year!

Yeah, just woke up and didn't read it very clearly. I'd actually be a bit surprised if only one made a return as quite a few seemed set up for it. Also be interesting to see if it's canonized or not, and if not how they handled a certain ending. If it is only one companion though, my assumption is either Oghren or Leliana as they are really the only two fully accounted for in all the epilogues if I remember correctly who aside from one who is rather tied down to a certain job.

I imagine if they are going to move forward romances, they might want to save them for a meatier full-game, but I could be wrong.  I can't see how you'd handle Morrigan, Zevran, Leliana, etc in just an expansion.  I am very eagerly awaiting this!

Nope, not Shale.  Some people won't have him, remember?

Amaranthine is, IIRC, where they put the new Grey Warden HQ after the big battle.

I assume the expansion is going to pick up most of the unused plot threads from The Calling.

You are right, bummer about Shale.  Maybe Edwina from the tavern will become Edwin, a powerful mage for a great crossover!!!

I can't find an official press release on any EA or Bioware site, nor can I see that story posted any where else...

If I find that, I'll make us a new thread and maybe even sticky it....

Otherwise I'll leave that to someone at Bioware :-)

Eh, Morrigan has a special situation at the moment so not sure what we'll see of her. Like I said, just thinking back to the epilogues really Oghren, Leliana, maybe Zev are the only three possibilities as the rest went way off on their own little adventures or are currently occupied. We'll see in two months I guess.

Oh man I wasn't expecting the expansion to be this awesome, I can't wait! I've been hoping to see the Architect and for an expansion that wasn't all about Morrigan. Thanks so much Bioware!

also a few thoughts now on the Ostagar DLC...



maybe since the expansion is 40$ and not 30$ we will see a pre-order deal for the XP that allows a free* DL of return to ostagar, or maybe they will include it in the box?



im blown away and so excited. only odd thing is on the gamestop site they show the PS3 box and the 360 box but no PC box? i hope i can buy the boxed version for PC.

If you notice, the IGN article says it's only for PC. So I'd imagine that it's for all three. I can't seem them releasing it for one or two platforms and leaving the other one or two out in the cold.

Funny enough Gamestop is only selling it for the 360 and PS3 at the moment.

Its listed on other sites for the PC as well same time in March. Not finished the first game yet, looking forward the the expansion non the less.
