I see a lot of of debates regarding the '' Human Protagonist '' issue, and thus far I did not see a compromise, nor a potential solution, ergo I elected to create a thread in order to provide my suggestion.

Some people would like to play different species, which is entirely understandable, I find myself one of them ( I'd like to play a Qunari for example ) but nevertheless, let us be realistic; Bioware does not have the luxury of infinite resources, adding another race shall most likely -require- a different voice actor for the protagonist an additional voice-acting, programing, coding for interacting specifically for the race in question. ( Otherwise it would be quite odd, would it not? )

That is a tricky proposition, for the costs could be quite enormous, even if added 1-2 remarks from the occasional random character, or a petty little specific quest for the race in question. Trough this, we could potentially squander -quality- for the sake of -quantity-, and that would not be an enticing thought, would it?

My suggestion is following; A compromise; Return the silent protagonist. Trough this, we cut down the costs, and we expand the quantity of Dragon Age 3 experience while retaining it's quality, which -permits- the introduction of additional races relatively smoothly, not only for the sake of races.

Trough this, we can elect our character to actually experience growth or change, rather than being forced into an odd and poorly wrote drama sequence;

Examples:

The death of Hawke's first sibling. Hawke's story put great emphasis on his family,  and by the fact it is personal for the Protagonist yet Hawke himself shown little care despite the fact that his family members continuously get whacked -- Hell, he shown more emotions for Aveline and her husband. ( I won't even mention the forced embedding of drama trough the child in Mass Effect 3's dreams )

Thank you for reading ( If you had ) I'm looking forward to see better suggestions, agreements or disagreements, etc.
