I ask this because I'll need to reinstall soon but I'd rather not lose everything I've done up till now
Thx in advance.

Yes. All your stuff is stored in My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Characters. Just copy that folder and return it there after re-installing.

Yes, you can keep the setting and the saved files when you uninstall. The uninstaller will prompt you whether you want to keep the above or wipe it out completely. Alternative, you may wish to back up the "Bioware" folder from "My Document" folder and copy back when you re-install everything back again on your hard drive.

Yes you can I guess, but I'd backup the saves/characters/profiles just incase before uninstalling. =)
Sometimes the question popup when uninstalling its easy to click the wrong answer so you loose the saves, since some games asks differently, for example. do you want to keep your saves and profiles while another might ask do you want to delete your saves and profiles. Or theres a checkbox you have to tick/untick.

Never mind, I just found out I don't need to reinstall, but thanks anyway, always good to know should I need to in the future.

i lost my DLC after i uninstalled the game.
I had a redeem code for the blood armor and Shale (the golem who loves pigeons)
I re-installed the game and now i can not play those 2 items anymore.
How can i fix this?

Log into your DA account and DLC authorised to this accont should again be available to you.
You can check what is authorised by clicking 'Profile' on this page when signed in and then on 'your registeredgame promotions'.
Hope this helps

This problem i had was for dragon age origins v1.0: i tried what you had said. But it is stil not working. So i went to the gameshop i bought the ultimate edition: I uninstalled previous edition and now i have the following problem:I just have dragon age ultimate edittion: problem: i redeemed my the code for all the add content. I start the game logging in with my ea-account.
Under downloadable content i see under installed content that the content is enabled but "unauthorized" with the message "log in with an account that owns this content" For as far as i know i only have one account.
What do i need to do?

t seems that the problem is solved! Solution: I wanted to play so i decided to play from my first bought cd, so i put that one in the pc logged in and now it seems that all the content is available. So i must not play with the cd's from the ultimate edition but with the one from my original install?! So The ultimate edition is not an alone standing edition but still needs the first installed DVD to operate!?

I have just picked up your post and this seems strange.
I installed DAUE on top of DAO (no uninstall) and have played DAUE ever since using the new DAUE #1 disc.
Stupid question maybe but did you submit a game registration code while installing the game - you must have done to enable installation? I thought that this registration would update your account.
Or even more stupid question - have you mixed up your DAUE No 1 and original discs?
Sorry that I cannot be more helpful.

But hey it is working so with all content so i am happy
I also mailed the problem to ea-Support and awaiting answer.
