He probably would've fared better if he was using a BW/Widow/Valiant (in that order) and not the Javelin. The Javelin is good, but in hairy situations most of the people will miss a live-saving shot with it. The Javelin is the main reason he failed, IMO.

And a question to the OP: Why didn't you, and the other 2 players gelled?

Well, it seems he was using a kit designed for taking out boss units in anticipation of being part of a team. I'm sure had he known he was going to have to carry your sorry asses to extraction that he would have used a more balanced kit so he could solo while you sit in your mother's basement eating Doritos and drinking Diet Mountain Dew.

Just because someone can solo Gold doesn't mean they can do it with any and every kit variation available in the game, against any and all enemies on any and all maps. It also doesn't mean he/she is immune to being overwhelmed at times.

I disagree, the Lone Wolf banner is different from those such as Biotic God, Mathemagician, etc. Toting a LW banner displays above-average skill in the game, whereas Biotic God is just fulfilling damage/HP requirements with random powers.

 Sooo.... because you're able to solo a couple of Gold games or a Platinum, that means you should never wipe again in any game with any setup or character? 'kay. Good to know.

It's not at all ironic how you're insulting the only person on your team who managed to stay alive, when yourself and 2 other team members died. I feel bad for him/her having bad team mates.

It can be simple suicide because the guy has had enough of idiots who bleed out wave after wave. I either stand there taking shots until i drop and bleed out or simply join in and not medigel even though i still have a bunch. The first is obvious to spectators. The second is less obvious and i've had a guy laugh on the mike on how i bled out on wave 9 after carrying the 3 idiots who love to bleed out through waves 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. The guy didn't know i had 4 medigel left and could finish the thing but seriously why should i benefit idiots like that? Though on retrospect i should have killed everything then left 1 guy alive for 20 minutes to drive the point home.

You know...I just....JUST NOW...came out of a match of people doing the same thing to me.  And did the same thing right back.  Even though I usded one earlier, I still had 5 left, why should I bother if they are not going to try.

Lone Wolf doesn't mean squat. It just shows you used an OP anti-geth class or a vanguard and had luck with the mission. If you get some nasty mission objectives you are toast no matter what class and what gear you have. So stop being so hype about it. It's just a matter of grinding and luck.

I have Lone Wolf but soloing vs Geth would drive me nuts. I got mine vs Reapers.

I also would never solo with a Javelin.

It's also generally harder to solo a wave after a team wipe than it is to do it from the start since spawns are all screwed up and you notice that there are...ahem..."ENEMIES EVERYWHERE!"

I actually solo'd using my Fury against Reapers and Cerberus. Maybe you're butthurt because you dont have the banner?
