I have been in this situation, I was playing Cerberus/Hazard Giant/Gold with randoms. I was using a Geth Infiltrator w/ *ahem* Javelin.
The team I was playing with wiped on wave 3, 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10. I had to do the last half of an escort & a hack, and with my dying breath carried the pizza to the LZ for the wave 10 objective.
I wasn't running off on my own being a badass all the time, I stuck with the team as much as possible.
When the 2 stronger players decided to run off I stayed w/ the weaker one to have his back at first. After wave 3 I let him die if I couldn't get to him because honestly he was a hindrance.
I tried to stick w/ another player as much as possible, but they kept rushing into really stupid situations. Eventually they'd get into something I couldn't save them from, die & bleed out. Again & again.
Finally on wave 10 me & one of them stayed alive long enough to get the pizza to within 5 meters of the LZ, he lets himself get gibbered by a pack of Phantoms instead of running from them. [He saw them, I warned him too] I run around the map, go back to the LZ, grab the damn thing & get it into the LZ. By this time I have a massive headache from HM & decide to just lie down & die.

Your game probably went down something like this. You should get good & not be a burden to your team. Don't let one guy do all the work. Don't be jelly of his achievements.

I thought enemies could see through cloak, if you're the last man standing in your team. Conversely, when you're soloing cloak works, I'm pretty sure I read a dev post regarding this. It would explain why he couldn't solo that wave, if he was dependent on cloak for safety.

Solo cloak and last man standing cloak is the same. Both work but badly. You need to keep on the move and even so, under several circumstances, your cloak is still useless.

Well I'm paraphasing... I asked if it was better for me to stay in the circle where everyone getting pummeled.  He said teammates always die during hack objectives so that wasn't an excuse.  Added that I just an idiot who wanted points, and didn't care about joining the team. 

So yeah, maybe there's an idealogical perspective that trying to hold the Alamo as a team is conceptually more cooperative than trying to split the enemy up.  Personally I don't want 4 people to crowd into that stupid circle unless the 4 players were really good and could hold off the onslaught.

I had the silver revive medal too ... go figure.

well unless you can solo platinum your not going ot get the loan wold banner any more, knew i should of solo'd those last 3 bronze matches and gained mine before the balance changes .....

actualy i managed ot get within 2 points of like 8 banners before it got balanced and then suddenly i needed another 50%+ in all of them ><

? You still don't need to solo platinum. 2 Gold solos are sufficient. I recently got another solo mastery from gold solos and that nothing was done on platinum for that

I had a Lone Wolf in a Goddess/Cerberus/Gold match. He was the only Infiltrator in the team. His Sniper Rifle Mastery was more important than the 4 devices objective on wave 10... so lame.

I played a match with some friends the other day on Giant of all maps with a GI with a Javelin and let me tell you, it can be quite a chore against the Geth to solo on any map. Bombers are really small and move rather quickly, combine that with the added difficulty of multiple primes shooting at you and hunters closing in, and you're gonna have a bad time. Of course, he was an SI who probably had energy drain, which adds more survivability.. but meh.

Anyway, I played Giant both runs. It took me my third attempt at soloing gold to figure out the spawns, wave budget and how to kite the enemies.

Against the Reapers, I had 1234, Upload Data and Deliver the Pizza objectives.

Against Cerberus, I had Targets, 1234 and Upload.

Sorry that I didnt take the "easy" way out by using a Krogan against Geth. I never use Krogan and I hate fighting Geth.

Don't really know about the rest here, but I've managed to solo gold before (haven't done it after the challenge became avaiable, so I'm no Lone Wolf yet) but I take issue with this statement.

Geth are the easiest? Aside from the Kroguard/Possibly the destroyer I don't see how. Rockets are crazy accurate, hunters fire when staggered, and bombers force you out of cover and right into the delicious stagger-fest.

With Dragoons, Cerberus have become substantially harder to solo, even if they're easy to kill, and Collectors are... Well, collectors.

Personally, I find reapers to be the easiest enemy to solo. You can chew right through the wave budget with Ravagers/Brutes while kiting the Banshees. 

It's all just opinion though.

OP, you should try soloing yourself to see what a difference it is compared to playing with a team. Soloing, you control spawns and are generally aware of the position of the enemies on the map, taking them out in groups. With 3 other players, spawns are different and lone "forgotten" enemies wander around and can easiyl flank you, especially cloaked/stunlocking enemies. Not to mention, not everyone uses their solo Gold setup in public games.

Lone Wolf doesn't mean an automatic win when 3 other people mess up badly, as in not understanding that often in Gold+, it's tactically best to split up the team when a single objective area gets overwhelmed or that sometimes, you have to exit and regroup...
