If the krogan didn't drop and needed nothing from 3 of you guys, what exactly is your complaint? That he failed to cover your bad camping tactic? Seriously? You can't even try to excuse it on cloak since he was a sentinel...

IF everyone was playing a spawn rush tactic....cool. When you got 3 people on one side of the map...and ALL the spawns are jacked up cuz one dude is running around...WELL...that is selfish.

Adapt. If spawns are such a ****, then why camp in the same place? Just get up and move.

Only for another spawn of hunters to crop up behind you as you're running around, and stunlock you to death because everyone is off doing their own thing? No thanks. Controlling spawns usually leads to success. You don't have to camp, but you do have to know where the spawn points, and you do have to know how to funnel enemies so that you can pick them off.

I was playing with a guy who got the Lone Wolf banner... figured he was a badass.

A lot of people are trying to get their weapon challenges right now.  Some are using character/weapon combinations that were never meant to be played on Gold/Platinum.

BSN rules dictate he IS a badass.

WE know the lone wolf banner is no different than anyother banner...and it would be silly to judge a person better or worse just by having it...but you cant say that round these parts!!

Again, it is a big difference to play solo or in a team. Playing in a team of randoms who play as they like (e. g. fury with typhoon ^^) but not as it is meant, is much more challanging as to solo something.

With randoms you have not the full control on the spawnpoints, random play chars with a non fitting loadout.

Two different sets of skills, and his build was probably not suited for solo'ing. What it means is that he can at least hold his own and understands the basic mechanics of the games, and should be seen as that.

 Maybe you should try soloing. Then you probably understand the difference
between solo and team game. Soloing doesn’t need extra-ordinal skills; just
need careful planning and knowledge about location of respawn.

Depends on what you mean by "do much better". A lot of people don't seem to realise that measuring someone else's skill compared to yours is not as straight forward. I do a lot of hosting now and prior to that i did alot of quick joins so i get the pros and cons of both sides.

For example, the following are major advantages if you're counting just the scoreboard
i) You're hosting
ii) Guy drops in rather than starting from the lobby meaning equipment may be 0 and you equipped your stuff fully
iii) Guy has a weapon that is a poor mix (eg Piranha on Hydra, Javelin on Glacier)
iv) Guy is using a low dps build while you're using a high dps character

If someone manages to keep level with you and you have one or more of the above advantages, he is actually better than you. If he outscores you, he is way better than you.

Now, the scoreboard is a terrible way to estimate. Why? Take for example, a high dps glass cannon. He can score very high but part of it is because others have to spend time to revive him which eats into their own average dps. Additionally if the glass cannon was left to bleed out, he would not score anything for the rest of the wave.

Personally i use a "revives required" as a measurement. If someone cannot keep on his feet, he's not going to be very useful especially during hacks where everyone is already under pressure from at least 3 sides. As long as you can stay alive, you will win even if it takes a bloody long time.

I'd agree, except we were on Silver, so it wasn't THAT difficult.

And I see what you all mean, but I figure if someone can take out a whole wave by themselves, shouldn't they be dammned good at this game?

I still don´t understand where did this come from? What´s with that assumption that Lone Wolf will be badass godlike figure that will run around the field and shine like three suns in morning?(why would they anyway, if they want to play relaxing team game...)
The banner only says that the person was capable of soloing gold under some circumstances at least twice. The only thing I would see to it is that if the team goes down, there are better chances that Lone Wolf can finish the wave.
I think it´s likely that more experienced players are going to solos, but that again doesn´t mean they are going to rambo in every game.
