Who has the better characters? Whose comics do you prefer to read?

Marvel pwns DC in every way possible... and perhaps even in ways previously thought to be impossible.

Personally, I think Marvel has the better characters all around. I just wish that Doctor Strange would get his own title again.

I'd say Marvel has done a better job at interconnecting its universe. DC has the JLA, but that's about it as far as getting all the other IPs to play nicely on the on playground.

Yeah, DC recently had a Batman crossover called Night of the Owls. It spanned 14 books. That is just way too many books for a crossover involving one section of the DC Universe.

Yeah... that's why I can't do comics hardcore anymore. I mean... if people on here complain about video game lore... they wouldn't have a prayer in manaing all of the retcons, lore breaking and timeline issues involved with the majoirty of comics. Its like trying to chase your own tail... if you tail had super powers and parental issues.

It is quite a bit to keep up with. Marvel Now! or New 52 has cleaned things up a bit though.

You know...like Superman being alive despite being beaten to death by Doomsday in a previous comic.

Superman should have stayed dead or never existed. Even though he actually has some semblance of a personality in New 52.

Eh. Superman IS the definition of cheat codes. Not only does he have a variation of nearly every super power out there, but he also has the entire receptacle of Kryptonian knowledge and science at his disposal. The combined knowledge of over a dozen galaxies, run by an AI guided and designed based on the mind of his father, one of the most brilliant scientists in the history of a science-guided race... it makes anything possible. Including space-magic that resurrects Superman with long hair.

I think that is why he is disliked by quite a few comic readers. He is way too overpowered of a character with no character flaws, and a ridiculous Achilles-heel.

DC makes Better Animated Movies and Shows.
Also I like DC more, Marvel has made more retarded mistakes IMHO.

Everyone in Marvel is a d!ck and everyone in DC gets retconed.

But DC has Aquaman, so DC wins.

Also Superman is not that powerful.

Uh-huh. Except he can fly so fast he can reverse time.

Like I said... cheat codes. But hey... if you can't be 'em, join 'em I say.

No that's stupid.

Superman should not be that powerful, f**k dumb comics.

In fact f**k DC and Marvel, they are both sh!t.

Aquman is still cool though.

I'm having trouble seeing anything Marvel has done as being better than Batman, Superman and the Watchmen.

Nothing DC or Marvel made will ever be as good as Watchmen.

Technically they published Watchman, but DC still owns the rights.
That's why "Before Watchmen" was made.
