Personally I have to say I love them all! I am a big fan of the dragon age games. I started playing them some months ago and ever since I have been hooked. I've completed the first and second one with "The Which hunt", "Legacy", "Mark of the Assassin" and I just bought "The exiled prince" which I'm looking forward to play when I next have time (hopefully tomorrow). There are so many things I like about the game, just a few of them I can think of off the top of my head are:

* The romantic scenes / talks. I have to admit, I'm a bit of a sucker for all the romatic intamate scenes. (I actually don't think there are enough ;) lol)
* The banter they have between each other while the characters are just walking around.
* The personalities and the past the characters have.
* How the future of your character can change depending on what you do during the game.
* Being able to create your own character - being able to choose a male or female, create his / her looks and in such a detailed way.
* I think all the characters are well made with brilliant actors which obviously does help a lot.

There are so much more I really enjoy about the games but that's all I can think of right now. There are only a couple of things I think they could change such as in Dragon Age 2, I didn't like how the maps where re-used. Actually I think that's the main thing I had a problem with. There where times where I thought it would be great if they added this or that while I was playing the games, but what I thought, for the life of me I can't remember at this moment.
Of course it would be exilent if the games where so much longer, infact I would be thrilled if the games never ended lol. Which reminds me, I was thinking like so many others what it would be like if Dragon Age went online, so we can play with other online people. Some say it wont work and others say it will. Done right I believe it can, but that remains to be seen.

I guess the only thing I would love to see, if it could be added from Dragon Age 3 is my new character meeting my last 2 characters. If my next character could meet or even work with the hero and champion that would be great. And obviously get her a partner as well. I managed to get my first character to marry Alister and last character to run away with Anders.

Which brings me to my next idea, I think it would be fabulous! to see all three characters with their "hubbys" they can all fight alongside each other. If possible at the same time. So we are able to have a bigger party. So instead of only having 4 people in party we can have 6. That way I can use all three of my characters and their other halfs. And maybe through in dramatic scenes, twists, they have children, they have to protect their children, and so on and so forth. I have plenty of ideas like. I like the drama scenes mixed in with abit of action and romance lol.

I do just have to say though, WELL DONE! To Bioware and the whole team. I have played many online and concole games over the years but I haven't been as hooked or enjoyed a game as much as this one. I've never bothered with a game so much. This is the first one. So well done and I cannot wait to play some more.

Anyway, what does anyone else think? :P

Dragon Age does have a really well thought out world the history and lore are fantastic.I remember borrowing DA:O from a friend and at first i didn't like it(but my friend didn't ask for it back for about a year lol)so I shelved it for a few months one day on a rainy day I decided to give it another shot,man I have been hooked on that game ever since,replayed it 3 times in a row after that lol...The games seem to be going downhill though :"( sadly.

I like them too!
Dao because of Alistair hehe and Da2 because of Hawke.

I don't care what anyone also said, I think playing as hawke was brilliant, didn't like da2 act3 or the ending but still playing it.
My endings ends this way: someone or something with alot of magic power got my Warden Amell and Hawke away for some "adventures" of their own!
And of course warden Amell will find a cure for the Wardens before is too late and Hawke is helping with the search!

Very silly I know but hey is "my game" :P

Yeah I agree, its definately thought out and adictive. DAO is a bit better but their both still top quality games. The second one needs a couple of changes. Their still just too adivtive lol.

Lol you're not sure if you like it or not?

Yeah, it does have places where it can be better but they can still fix those. Have a few more good add ons, that may make up for it :D

Yeah, the music is good, I like it when you hear a couple of the old ones come back in as well.

Yeah I know what you mean. I have a soft spot for ALister and Anders lol :D.

No it's not a silly idea. I've wondered about that myself. If they can find a cure for the wardens. But obviously do it while their young and can still have children *hint hint cough cough*. I think my character should give Alister an air lol. :lol:

I rembered a couple more thongs I like about the games. I said I liked the chats which to me are one of the most important things in my opinion. I was also thinking about the third game. To make it more special they should give all our characters happy endings obviously depending on how we played. Alistair should get an heir with the warden, the champion should have an happy ending with whoever she choose to be with (if she / he went with anyone), and maybe the hero and champion should team up with the new character who earns a new fancy title. The hero, champion and the (new fancy title) to make a great team. Like Charlie's angels. Wheather its all guys, girls or both. Anyway my baterry is about to die so I have to dash. Coming on the net with my phone is a pain. Especially when it changes the words or I mess up my sebtances because of this thing. So got to go, its bleeping like mad.

Thongs? Oops, that was meant to say "things". This is why it's better to go on the net on a comp & not a mobile lol.

Don't worry thongs are so much better then things... honestly :devil:

I loved DA:O accept for the texturing was very ordinary for game of its time. DA2 not much I can say there accept it had one saving grace... and that is the writers at BW are amazingly talented people, it was their story that kept me playing nothing else. I only wish DA 2 had built on DA:O's strengths instead of try to create a square wheel of a game.

Lol thanks. Now I don't feel so bad :innocent:

I see what you mean. But aparently, They created DA2 like that on purpose for the DA3 game. They gave some hints away. It's going to carry on with mages and templers fighting. So DA2 is a taster for 3 I guess. DA2 is how DA3 all started. That might also explain why your choices were much more limited than in DAO. You had more choices that let you do more things and different endings were this one didn't. I guess that's why.

I love the dragon age franchise, specially when you read all the extra content they have generated for it.

DA2 is only correct and clearly made with consol in mind.

DAO is really good and made for PC, the 2 games can't be compared, DAO is way above, but DA2 is still good enought to be played. But DA2 can't really be called a AAA game.

 I am replaying DA2 on Xbox, only my second playthrough.  When I started reading the hype about DA3, I had just done yet another playthrough of DAO.  I remember my first time playing DA2 (pre-ordered and started on release day), and I remember how disappointed I was by the reused environments, reused (and confusingly compartmentalized) maps, character/racial redesigns, lack of traveling and camp, and reduced customization, among other things.  Looking back now, I feel like I may have been too focused on the negatives to enjoy the positives.

This time, since I already know about the things that disappointed me, I am much less fazed by them.  Instead, I am finding that I love:
  • Hawke as a character (even more than I did the Warden);
  • Hawke's personal development/social climbing;
  • Mage/Templar and Qunari/human conflicts;
  • Aveline, Sebastian, Varric, and Merrill;
  • Quests like All That Remains (Leandra), Feynriel, Sister Petrice quest line, and more;
  • Cameos (even if Zevran was nearly unrecognizable);
  • Exciting Combat;
  • DLC - Legacy and MOTA were fantastic.  The Exiled Prince was great too, but I feel like it's missing the actual retaking of Starkhaven and wish this was a future DLC.  Maybe a "Retake Starkhaven" DLC could be a good bridge to DA3 and introduce some of the companions?  Even the item packs had some good stuff in them.
I am in Act 3 and actually went online searching for upcoming DLC news.  I was disappointed to find that an expansion had been canceled and no hints of DLC.  I don't have all the information, but in my humble opinion, a bridge DLC like "Retake Starkhaven" introducing some of DA3's companions could:
  • Drum up attention for DA3;
  • Renew interest in DA2 and maybe pick up some Legacy and/or MOTA sales;
  • Perhaps tie-in to a DA2 Ultimate Edition including the bridge DLC for new customers;
  • Tie up some loose ends in the story by working them in;
  • Hint at the conflicts and themes of DA3...
Of course, if BW includes more LI content in the DLC, that could generate sales too.  DA2 is not without faults, but I'm glad I could enjoy it and find that taking a risk by buying the DLCs was worth it.  Honestly, Legacy and MOTA were 10/10 and knocked it out of the park.  The DLC definitely improved the DA2 experience for me, and I would definitely buy any DLC of this caliber if BW changes their decision.
