I live in Australia and trying to play this game is like bashing your head against will running your finger across a cheese grater. Frequently teleportation, random deaths and shoddy hit detection plague this game on PC. Xbox is fine but PC is just absolutely horrible. This is without a doubt the second worst net-code I've ever seen (the first being MK9, obviously).

Is there any hope or do I just give up?
