I was playing ME3 this evening with some friends (a common occurence), and we were discussing minor changes we've noticed since the Retalliation-overhaul. The only really negative one seems to be a form of lag, as though the client and host are out of sync, producing various graphical and gameplay oddities.
To my knowledge, the only major change has been the addition of the challenge system. The question that comes to my mind is when the challenge progress data is sent to the server? If it's during the game, was the multiplayer system designed to handle this extra data, or is it data that's being sent in addition to the old-style multiplayer data?
If it is the latter, would it improve sync to have the client's system retain the challenge progress during a game and upload after returning to the lobby
I habe no idea

(Ignore the last line on the first post, i'm using my tablet and the onscreen keyboard does not mix well with the 'standard form' text box. Oddly, its fine with the 'quick reply' text box. *shrug*

So what you're saying is that a potential cause of the lag issues that we've been experiencing since the Retaliation DLC came out could be caused by all of the challenge system data that's being collected and streamed while we're in game on top of everything else.
This game always has suffered from lag issues, its sounds plausible to me that this added burden just topped it right off the edge since we've had new characters and maps before, and the challenge system is really the only "new" new feature.
So, if that's true, then your solution sounds like a plan! Send it once we're back at the lobby.
