In Origin, you can set up a directory where it is supposed to store the installers, so you don't have to download all 10 gigs again when you want to reinstall the game, for example because it is bugged as hell and the useless tech support has no solutions, or maybe to install it on your second gaming PC.

Historically this has worked for me, for Red Alert 3 for example, and Dragon Age, but not for Mass Effect 3.  Nothing is stored there.

What the hell, EA?

You won't get any official response here. To get Origin bugs known, one must go here: forum.ea.com/eaforum/forums/show/3918.page

in origin there's a check box to "keep game installers" unfortunatly it defaults to unchecked every time origin looses connection ot the servers and requirres you to login, it also unchecks the box when origin is updated etc etc so invariably it deletes all the installers when this happens

that asside if your useign win7 you should be able to just copy n drop the entire origin folder across your network (or copy n paste it onto a usb stick) then do the same to your alt machine, then stick a shortcut onto the desktop and launch origin from that.

for xp your stuck wiht the crap way of redownloading it...... vista might work and might not (its finikety that way) and if your on win8 i have no idea cos i thought that was meant to be a touchscreen based environment and not very functional on a desktop unless you "adjust" its default look

The checkbox to keep installers was checked.
No installer was kept.

Trying to talk to EA is like talking to a wall. I'll try talking to Bioware now. So far it's the same customer experience, but who knows. Maybe Bioware remembers they used to make good games and cared for their customers and makes a turnaround.
