NO, please leave my insect spray / reegar alone. Its my only defense against the collector swarms.

Reegar destroys Shields/Barriers.
Pretty good against Health as well.
Does jacksh*t to armor.

Balanced.

Except you can happily mount an AP mod and Incendiary/AP ammo on it to completely negate your "Balanced" there.

That's the only niggle I have with the gun though - the fact that it can benefit from AP, that just seems wrong to me - but I'm not that bothered either way.

Even if you negate all armor DR, the reegar still has a .5X multiplier against armor. However, if they just had to nerf it I wouldn't mind taking the shredder mod away from it.

Krysae was a cool sniper rifle, but then people started to use it as candy (vanguards and melee classes) and bioware nerfed it... The thing is quite useless now. The Reegar is an excelent CQC weapon if you know how to hit and run... If you're going terminator against large groups or foes you'll hit the ground, and again that's player's fault, not the game it self

The krysae was OP.  They nerfed it pretty badly, but was still an okay good gun: just no longer a candidate for players who wanted easy mode.  And they just gave it some buff love a few weeks ago.

Please, don't compare the Reegar to the pre-nerf Krysae - they're not even remotely in the same league; the fact that you'd even consider that comparison is basically like saying that the Reegar is massively overpowered, like the pre-nerf Krysae was (now the Krysae is merely "good on the right class") and therefore in need of a nerf.

Unless you secretely want the Reegar nerfed that is?

Ugh, hate nerf threads.

The Reegar is powerful, yes, but when I look at the characters I play with I only actually use it on 2 of them I think because it doesn't gel well with a lot of kits. I also don't really see the Reegar used very heavily in Silver or Bronze (maybe everyone equips them in Gold and Platinum, but I doubt it?).

Lowering its overall DPS would be a mistake, but nerfing its armor damage specifically could help.

This again? At this point I think it's become rather obvious that the Reegar is not overpowered. It's complete and total lack of range keeps it from being so.

Please take into consideration that this game has four different difficulty levels so if it seems overpowered on silver then it is not compared to gold or platinum

Spoken like someone who hasn't used it since it recently got buffed.  The Krysae is now a very good weapon while no longer being utterly broken.

This still going? Wow. Congratulations OP. You have become cool because you became part of the nerf thread trend. Seems quite the fashion these days on BSN.

Except that the Reegar nerf movement has been dead for quite some time.

Considering the crappy range it has, I think the gun is fine.

Reegar range is poor its weights medium so harder to equip on vangard with a good range weapon.
My krogard can feel useless during hacks waiting for a mook to get close enough to kill.

Used it on Silver only after the recent buff, and it totally sucked.  It won't be any good until they restore its former ROF.  This was on a Salarian Infiltrator too. :?

by that time I was making my way over silver, and every time I tried to give some love with my Krogan, some random-Krysae-user stole my thunder. Then I built a siniper kit, enjoy the thing for one night and it gor nerfed... Is a touchy subject for me T.T

I got it from "don't come ask for 'balances'" which to me might as well have been "You shouldn't be posting these threads".

I can still use that logic against the other side though. How well do you think it would go over if I posted in a buff thread "Don't ask for buffs to things that give us challenge"?

Simply telling people "don't use it" is a very poor argument, in my opinion.

so instead of reading everything i said, you took one part, just so you could tell me what to not do?....lol ok

like i said in the second part: i've said the same thing in threads people asked for buffs....we then proceeded to have a convo stating our sides...so what's your point?...

lol if you say so...it wasnt an argument stance, it was an opinion on something he could do instead of asking for a nerf since he's not the only one playing the game...

Last time I checked this was a coop game not a multiplayer game. I don't understand why you have to nerf weapons because its better then others. Unless it breaks the game like a rocket glitch or something. Just leave the weapons and powers alone.

Attention elite peeps who do nothing but play this game 18 hours a day every day: I admire your dedication, but the rest of us don't have that kind of time on our hands---you know, there's work and school and family stuff we need to take care of, so we don't play 18 hours a day every day. We simply aren't as awesome as you. Leave the few good weapons we actually have alone. Play private matches with your elite friends and play with peashooters instead.

And I'm calling this a troll thread. The geth infiltrator is so completely OP and I've not seen even ONE ELITIST call for a GI nerf. Why is that?

The Reegar is an excellent weapon, but surely not overpowered. If you see its disadvantages (not just one, but at least five or six of them), you will realize why Bioware fortunately (makes the right decision, IMHO) did not nerf the gun.

First, like everyone said, you need to remain at a dangerous and deadly range to use it. Yeah, it's more easy with the Kroguard and with some infiltrators, but not that easy with the Drellguard. Actually, the Talon works much better with Vanguards like the Drellguard and the Slayer (so, that means we need to nerf the Talon?). This makes the Reegar a good choice if you play maps like Firebase Glacier, but a poor choice on maps like Hydra and Dagger. Also you need to be very, very careful facing units like Banshees (it's almost certain to see at every match a Kroguard Reegar being grabbed by a Banshee, even with good players).

Second, you may not accept or disregard the argument that "the Reegar does a low armor damage", but it's true. Weapons, like the Claymore (with the same mods), can destroy armored units much more faster than the Reegar.

Third, the weapon has a very low magazine. You can't camp with it, you have to play strategically. Playing on platinum, you almost can't kill a Prime without using all your ammunition.

Fourth, it's a rare weapon, so it's supposed to be a very good weapon, able to play Platinum with it.

Five, the weapon can't stagger enemies, therefore you can't use it for crowd control. Weapons like GPS and Graal have a substantial advantage if you compare with the Reegar.

There is a lot of more other reasons, but I think these are sufficient. My advice is, if you think (it's your point of view, and respect the fact the mostly users disagreed with it) it's a noobie weapon, it doesn't give you the enough challenge, doesn't require aim and skill, just do not use the Reegar. Simple as that.

Why ask to nerf a gun you don't use. I don't understand this thought process. Is it because other players use it and just zip through enemies while you're being a manly man man and using another weapon? Do you want people to get on your level and use the guns you use? I don't see an issue with this honestly. It's good yeah, but it's not like every player uses the thing.

this.

and people need to stop asking to nerf guns that don't need to be nerfed.

I'm fairly certain every one who wants it nerfed are buttfrustrated Bronze players who are upset over a Kroguard that came and took his Marauder kill.

Or they are trolling, OR they are dumb.

Trolling, dumb, analcrusaded. Pick one.

The enemies pump out INSANE amounts of damage, why shouldn't we be able to do that as well? Making guns useless is not adding challenge to the game.
